Joe Exotic, the star of Netflix’s Tiger King, is going ahead with his wedding and is as all out as he can while behind bars for his special day.
Joe Exotic Has Purchased a Pair of $11,500 Wedding Tuxedos for Himself and His Fiancé
According to TMZ, the imprisoned former zookeeper has purchased two $11,500 all-white tuxes for himself and his fiancé John Graham. Designing the suits is designer Otaingerous’ Odain Watson.
Joe Exotic has a strong working relationship with Otaingerous having worked with the designer in the “Revenge” clothing line which also bears his name, likeness, and motifs related to his career as an eccentric zookeeper.
The arrangement has seen the Tiger King star make a tidy fortune while behind bars. While Graham will sport a traditional tuxedo, Exotic’s tux will have pink tiger print silk lining. His look will be topped off with a white tuxedo. I mean why shouldn’t his tux be a bit outlandish, he’s covering the cost of both tuxes, right?
Both suits will be made in Italy and should take around four to six weeks. It should give the former small town police chief time to handle his current estranged marriage to Dillion Passage.
Joe Exotic was doing a 22-year stretch for conspiring to kill the thorn in his side, Carole Baskin, as well as multiple conservation violations at his zoo. After getting lawyers John Michael Phillips and Amy Hanna to appeal his case, the 10th Circuit Court of Appeal decided that the charge of hiring two men should’ve been one.
He is now serving a 21-year sentence and is imprisoned at the Federal Medical Center, Butner in Durham, North Carolina. Exotic has been at FMC Butner since November 2021 after being diagnosed with prostate cancer in May of that year.
