After a very brief period of silence from Kanye West—it was a couple of weeks—the Grammy Award-winning rapper returns. Not only is he back but he’s not pleased with how his children with Kim Kardashian are being raised and the time he gets to spend with them.
Kanye West Jumps on New XXXTentacion Track and Talks About Kim Kardashian Controlling His Time with Their Kids
Kanye joins the late XXXTentacion on the new single “TrueLove” which dropped on Thursday, May 25, 2022. The new tune touches on relationships and the trouble that comes with them. Both rappers were involved in relationships that became particularly messy at the end.
Ye took the opportunity to express how he feels that the aftermath of his marriage with Kim K impacts his relationship with the children. Several verses show how Kanye West views his visits with the kids:
“Wait, when you see the kids? I’ll see y’all tomorrow
Wait, when the sun set? I see y’all tomorrow
Wait, when I pick ’em up, I feel like they borrowed
When I gotta return them, scan ’em like a bar code
Wait, no hard feelings, but these feelings hard though”
Going back earlier in the year, there’s also the mini-battle he and Kim Kardashian had over North West being on social media. Some observers sided with Kanye in that social media isn’t particularly safe for younger children while others sided with Kim K as she or someone else tends to be nearby when North is on social—plus it’s 2022.
Despite Ye’s lyrics which make it seem like he’s on supervised visits with the kids and has to pick them up from Kardashian at the good Denny’s parking lot, he does get to see them. Photos show Ye out with his daughter North and it didn’t look like the kind of outing a kid has with a parent that the other parent badmouthed.
