    Kim Kardashian Shares Marylin Monroe Struggle - What She Went Through To Fit Into Met Gala Outfit

    Reality TV show star, Kim Kardashian lost 16 pounds so that her body can fit into the latest fashion. The SKIMS founder brought glamour the to the most recent Met Gala, whose theme was “Gilded Glamour,” which celebrated the theme of excess, fame, and opulence.

    While some celebs by the memo, many others missed the mark. Kim’s fans didn’t like her look to the event. The reality TV star channeled her inner Marylin Monroe as she slipped in the iconic shiny dress the actress wore to sing “Happy Birthday, Mr. President” to President John F. Kennedy.

    Kim Kardashian doesn’t have Marylin Monroe’s body type, so she had to lose weight to fit into the iconic dress. She went on to lose 16 pounds, and even after doing that, she couldn’t walk in the attire, so she needed her boyfriend, Pete Davisson’s support Kim didn’t style her platinum blonde hair in Old Hollywood waves. Instead, she rocked a slick back look.

    The Marylin Monroe dress was paired with a white stole. The mother of four struggled to climb the stairs of the biggest fashion event of the years. During an interview with Vogue, the SKIMS founder shared what she had to experience to wear the dress.

    Kim said that on sighting the dress at Ripley’s Believe It Or Not! museum last week in Orlando, she knew she had to wear it. Armed guards brought it to her while wearing white gloves, and when she saw that she couldn’t fit in, she decided to do whatever it took. “I tried it on and it didn’t fit me. I said, ‘Give me three weeks,’” Kim told  Vogue. “I had to lose 16 pounds down today. It was such a challenge.

    It was like a [movie] role. I was determined to fit [into] it. I haven’t had carbs or sugar in about three weeks.” She then joked about celebrating with a “pizza and donut party” later that night.  Even if she lost weight,  the reality TV show star still struggled with the design. Walking in the dress proved really difficult. 

    Fans React To Kim Kardashian’s Met Gala Outfit

    Kim’s fans noticed that she couldn’t walk in the dress and they took to social media to mock her. Some of her Twitter fans noticed that her boyfriend, Pete held onto her behind with one hand and held her hand with the other as he guided her up the steps, and it took her so long to climb up those steps.
     
    Pete wore a simple black suit with a skinny tie and black sunglasses. Perhaps, Kim’s dress was the reason why they were one of the last to walk the steps. One fan wrote, “Pete..you are just gonna have to carry Kim up these stairs. Otherwise, we will be here all evening.”
     
    Another person wrote, “It’s Pete dragging Kim up the steps of the met bc she can’t walk for me!! The GRIP he has on her a**.”“He looks so done in that last photo.” Other comments flew in, with one fan saying,  “Pete is watching Kim’s every step on the stairs like he knows he has one job. Do NOT let her fall.”
     
    Someone also added, “Pete Davidson painstakingly helping Kim Kardashian up the stairs one step at a time is the #MetGala moment I didn’t know I needed.” In Kim’s Instagram post, where she shared pictures of her wearing the dress, she expressed her appreciation for being able to wear it.
