As of late, it’s been very hard to deny that Impact Wrestling have been on a roll. Under Siege 2022 from top to bottom was one of the best shows of the year, and saw the return of Mia Yim to the company. Previously known as Jade, Yim had a strong run in WWE for their NXT brand – and is now looking to kick off the latest stage of her career.
Mia Yim Is With Impact Wrestling For Next Six Months
Despite many expecting her to show up in AEW alongside husband Keith Lee, Yim would instead make her return to Impact Wrestling. She would save Taya Valkyrie from a post-match beatdown from Deonna Purrazzo, who had just failed to reclaim the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship from Valkyrie. Yim would have a standoff with Purrazzo, perhaps indicating her first feud in Impact Wrestling.
However, don’t expect Yim to be around forever in Impact Wrestling. She signed a contract with the company, but reports indicate that it is only for six months. This will keep her with the company up through Bound For Glory 2022. Both sides are reportedly open to extending the contract, provided everything works out smoothly.
An Incredible Addition To The Knockouts Division
It’s hard to imagine this deal not working out – as Yim is a former Knockouts Champion. Putting her alongside the likes of Purrazzo, Rosemary, Valkyrie, Jessica Havok, and Tasha Steelz makes the division just sound incredible on paper – and it’s only going to get better from here.
Yim is the type of performer who can work with just about any wrestler, and of any style. She proved this during her first run with Impact Wrestling, and furthermore in NXT. Now, she has a chance to be a consistent main event player – and could even get some screen time on AEW programming, if Impact starts to work with them once again.
