It’s not unusual for a wrestler to end their career with a mediocre bout but WWE, NWA, and WCW legend Ric Flair isn’t going out like that. He has been training with Jay Lethal for what he claims is the final match 50-year run in the industry.
Ric Flair Is Training for the FINAL Match of His Career
By this time, we’ve all seen the video and photos of Flair training with his friend and top Ric Flair voice-impersonator and AEW star Jay Lethal. The two went through Flair’s classic hits in the ring such as the knife-edge chops and his go-behind into a single leg takedown. We even get a “Woooo!” showdown and a strut battle.
Like I Said- It’s All About The Fundamentals. If You Can’t Punch, You Can’t Kick, You Can’t Work! WOOOOO! @TheLethalJay pic.twitter.com/1DxzGvQHab

The Nature Boy’s last match saw him face Sting during a September 2011 episode of IMPACT. It wasn’t the best offering by either man but both were veterans of countless ring wars over several decades, so it was expected that it wouldn’t be one of their must-see bouts.
Prior to that, Flair was a member of the Immortal faction and participated in the Lethal Lockdown match at Lockdown 2011. The match was well received as was his actual retirement match from WrestleMania 24 against Shawn Michaels.
While Ric Flair may not be as mobile as we may remember during the training sessions with Lethal, he still has the knowledge and experience of a 50-year veteran and definitely didn’t bumble his way through holds with his 37-year-old training partner.
Expect The Nature Boy to announce his final opponent in the coming weeks. The match will take place Sunday, July 31, at the Nashville Fairgrounds and will be promoted by Jim Crockett Promotions.
The Rumors Are True! I’m Going To Walk That Aisle, Style And Profile, One Last Time! July 31st! Nashville, Tennessee! Jim Crockett Promotions!
I Will Prove Once Again, That To Be The Man, You’ve Got To Beat The Man!
Now We Go To School!
WOOOOO!
