Tony Ferguson Rushed To The Hospital After The Brutal KO By Michael Chandler At The UFC 274

Tony Ferguson Rushed To The Hospital After The Brutal KO By Michael Chandler At The UFC 274

Three winners left their mark at the UFC 274. Charles Oliveira, as the unfairly title stripped winner, Carla Esparza, as the most boring title winner, and Michael Chandler, as the most brutal knockout of the event deliverer.

Tony Ferguson and Michael Chandler fought in Arizona at the UFC 274 in what happens to be the most exciting bout of the night.

It was clear since the first round that Ferguson will not last long. Michael Chandler was noticeably in better condition and delivered a better performance. The crown of this performance is the incredible leg kick to Ferguson’s chin that is the deliverer of the knockout.

After the bout, UFC sources confirm the rumors that were circling that Ferguson is in the hospital. Dana White says that this is the ‘most vicious knockout’ he’s ever seen. The leg kick was so powerful that it distorts Ferguson’s face to an extent that it got not recognizable.

As to whether this is a move that the winner incorporates in his training – he reveals that it is not.

“I don’t know if I saw it at the moment, my body just moved. Foot to face and a couple of back-flips. Sometimes the fights materialize exactly how you want them to. And sometimes you stay within your normal box of what you use.” – Chandler says.

“Sometimes it works and sometimes you throw something you never ever thought you would land. Never mind knocking someone out with. It’s not something we train, I have the best kickboxing coach on the planet in Henri Hooft but we don’t train front kicks. The main reason is it hurts my toes. So my right foot is a little sore and I’m a big baby when it comes to my feet getting hurt. It’s tough because ideally that’s what i want to do to Tony Ferguson. We’re in the business of separating guys from conciseness but Tony Ferguson has been a guy who has helped build the lightweight division. My thoughts and prayers are with him and I’m hoping for a speedy recovery.” – he adds.

After the fight, the winner was not wasting time. He immediately calls out the winner of the main but, Charles Oliveira for a match. He strives for the UFC lightweight title and he has the complete right to do so. At the UFC 274 event, he did show what he is capable of. And this is something that the public wants to see in a UFC bout.

To conclude, we are wishing Ferguson a speedy recovery and we wish Michael a title shot. We will see what will come.
