Tonight should be interesting as RK-Bro faces the Usos in a tag title unification match, and we may get a hint about the future of Sasha Banks and Naomi.
We’ll be back to kick things into gear and get WWE Smackdown Live Results rolling at the 8 p.m. Est showtime.
Segment 1
Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman opened up with a promo about the Usos doing something no one’s done before by unifying the title or else they’re off the Island of Relevancy.
Segment 2
Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Sami Zayn
Things started to heat up as Nakamura was on the top rope, but Zayn pushed him off to the floor as we headed to commercial.
Segment 3
Happy Corbin talked trash on Moss and reliving his attack on him last week before destroying the Andre the Giant trophy.
Segment 4
GUNTHER w/Ludwig Kaiser vs. Drew Gulak
GUNTHER destroyed Gulak and won following a powerbomb, but then locked in a Boston Crab and Ricochet came out to help and GUNTHER and Kaiser casually left.
Segment 5
Raquel Rodriguez vs. Shotzi
Shotzi tried to put up a fight, but Raquel was too powerful and tossed her around with ease before winning with a chokeslam.
Segment 6
Xavier Woods vs. Butch w/Sheamus, Ridge Holland
Woods ended this one with another Back Woods, and was jumped on the ramp by Butch after Holland and Sheamus came out.
Segment 7
Michael Cole said on Raw, Banks and Naomi let them all down by walking out and left the tag titles instead of wrestling in the main event.
He claimed they disappointed millions of fans (Same line they used with Austin) and then announced they’ve been suspended indefinitely and a tournament will be held to name new women’s tag team champions.
Looks like they’re done with the company.
Segment 8
Tag Team Championship Unification Match – The Usos (Jimmy, Jey) vs. Rk-Bro (Randy Orton, Riddle)
The actions started fast, but Riddle was slammed to the mat and the ref paused the match to have him checked out as we headed to commercial.
Segment 9
The was a great match, and Paul Heyman kept the tradition alive by going from commentary to distracting the ref. Reigns prevented Jey from eating a Super RKO from Riddle, the Jey hit an Uso Splash for the win.
Afterwards, they dismantled Orton and Riddle with the ring steps and Reigns locking in a guillotine choke on both.
Jey then put Riddle through the announce table with an Uso splash.
This was a great moment that was ruined by the telegraphing of interference with Heyman joining the announcers.
Over all, the episode was decent with this match being the best part of it.
