At WrestleMania 38, Omos was handed his first ever pinfall loss in WWE – after he was taken down by Bobby Lashley. Since then, MVP has betrayed his longtime client Lashley in favour of Omos. Now, with a veteran guiding his moves in the ring – Omos has another crack at the former two time WWE Champion. This is also a chance to see just how well Lashley does without aid in his corner – as MVP has been crucial to his massive rise in WWE.
With MVP At His Side, Omos Might Be Unstoppable
Lashley started this one fast with some clubbing blows, not using his speed like in the early moments of WrestleMania. He’d have Omos on the ropes, but got distracted by MVP – allowing Omos to nail the running big boot. Omos would crash into the corner with a splash, crushing Lashley before sending him tumbling to the outside of the ring.
Lashley got back into the ring, and jumped onto Omos with a sleeper hold. Omos tossed him off, before taking some heavy shoulder thrusts – before he’d lock the arms of Omos in the ropes. Some punches to the head would follow, before MVP tried to use his cane to free Omos.
Lashley would go after MVP and almost applied the Hurt Lock – but Omos made the save. In the ring, Lashley would apply the Hurt Lock on Omos, and was able to make the giant start to fade. Omos kept in the fight before raining down elbow strikes in the corner.
Lashley Won’t Take This One Laying Down
Lashley would fight back with some forearm shots – before a running spear in the corner. Omos would get slammed down, before Lashley went for a spear and instead got a knee to the face. The cane of MVP would hit Lashley in the face, allowing Omos to get the victory.
Without MVP in his corner – Omos might have lost his second match in a row to Lashley, but the X-Factor was clear. Alongside MVP, Omos could even go to a World Championship level – but it’s clear that Lashley will not be finished with Omos following this defeat.
