’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers reveal that Biniyam Shibre, who was first seen on the second season of 90 Day fiancé: The Other Way has filed for joint custody of his first son with his ex-wife, Ariela Weinberg following his relocation to the United States.

Binyam appeared on the show with his girlfriend, Ariela Weinberg. Ariela got pregnant and decided to leave New Jersey to be with Biniyam so that they would both raise their son together. However, after the couple’s son—Aviel was born, Ariela expressed her desire to return to the United States. Ariela’s decision was majorly because she felt her fiancé was being influenced by his circle of friends and his partying lifestyle.

The couple at the time had been experiencing some issues in their relationship and Biniyam’s friends and family did not want him to go to the US but Biniyam insisted that he had to go be with his son. Biniyam also made it clear that although he loved Ariela, he was leaving Ethiopia majorly because he didn’t want to be separated from his son like it happened with Simon, his older son.
My family wish I stay in Ethiopia but they know I have to stay with Ari because of our son… because I lost my first son, I don’t want to lose this family,” he once said.
Now, Biniyam has been able to move to the United States. There have been speculations that he might try to work things out with his first son. Biniyam previously had visitation rights when his son was in Ethiopia. However this fell through when they left for the United states and Biniyam could not get a visitor’s visa to see his son.
A report from Starcasm has confirmed that Biniyam has filed for joint custody with his son as he and his ex-wife now live in the same country. It seems Biniyam would be needing Ariela’s help along with her parents’ in order to go through with the process. Janice Weinberg, Ari’s mom has always been known by fans for being supportive even when Biniyam and Ariela were in a bad place. Hence, it’s expected that Biniyam would have all the support he needs.
