’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers: Geoffrey Paschel Seeks Another Trial After Being Sentenced To Prison For 18 Years
The 46-year-old had previously admitted to other criminal offences. On February 3, 2022, the judge sentenced him to 18 years in prison and without parole. During the trial, the judge showed disgust towards Geoffrey’s attempt to use his children to talk to the victim, Kristen Wilson on his behalf. The judge also asserted that Geoffrey had some psychological issues that made him inflict pain on his former girlfriend.
Now, Geoffrey and his defense attorney have filed a motion for a retrial. Greg Issacs, Geoffrey’s attorney has mentioned that there are a number of arguments about the case that are viable. He said that he was not willing to appeal Geoffrey’s criminal case but only wanted some reliefs like early release, a new trial or a change in the sentence.
One of the major arguments the attorney has is that the defense was not notified about the prosecution’s plan to introduce past claims of Geoffrey’s alleged abuse (that’s before the June 2019 incident) as evidence. While Geoffrey’s lawyer may seem confident in the possibility of a new trial, many fans are of the opinion that Geoffrey deserved what he got. “He absolutely got a fair trial and is exactly where he needs to be,” a fan noted and others couldn’t agree more.
