Former General Hospital star Ingo Rademacher will be pushing through with his lawsuit against ABC on a new legal front. His legal team has requested that ABC not be allowed to obtain documents from Protection of the Educational Rights of Kids.
Ex-”General Hospital” Star Ingo Rademacher Scrambles to Block ABC Subpoena to Anti-Vaccination Group
The new move comes after ABC pursued the documents via a subpoena. For those wondering, the Protection of the Education Rights of Kids—or PERK—is an anti-vaccination advocacy group with a focus on children’s education. Ingo Rademacher claims that ABC only subpoenaed the organization because they believe that PERK is bankrolling his lawsuit. It was also claimed that ABC was attempting to harass and pressure the actor and those around him.
The 50-year-old soap veteran’s lawyer stated:
“The subpoena is merely ABC’s campaign of intimidation to harass and pressure Ingo to drop the case against them. As an ill-fated means of garnering litigation leverage in this action, ABC has set about to intentionally harass every single person that Ingo may have spoken to in the last five years to destroy Ingo’s character and ascertain how someone could afford to bring such a case against ABC.”
It was also mentioned that by pursuing the subpoena, ABC is “an improper intrusion” on Rademacher’s constitutional rights. ““Whether I obtain litigation funding or not for this case, such a decision and information surrounding the same is my own prerogative and a private matter,” he would add according to documents obtained by Radar Online.
The lawsuit stems from 2021 when Ingo Rademacher was released after refusing to get the COVID-19 vaccination on religious grounds. ABC denied the exemption and are now facing a discrimination lawsuit.
Rademacher portrayed Jax on General Hospital from 1996 until his release in 2021.
