The UFC events are not the same without the commentary of the legendary commentator Joe Rogan. He is with the promotion since its early days and is there to stay. They’ve made him into this iconic character that is an essential part of every UFC event. Without his voice, the events are not the same.
However, Joe reveals that people might need to get used to his absence from the events. On his podcast, he admits to having an injury. An injury he sustained some time ago, that is not ‘healing’ as fast as he has expected.
Joe Rogan Might Miss Few More UFC Events Due To Injury – It Is Not Getting Better, He Reveals On The Podcast
“I have had a meniscus taken out of this knee and I’m worried about you know, cartilage damage. And that’s what I am worried this injury is because it’s just it’s strangely like sharp and not getting better.” – The podcaster says while speaking to his guest.
He reveals that he is constantly ‘working on it’ and does everything that is in his powers to get better as soon as possible. But it is not as easy as it seems. An injury at the joints is maybe one of the most serious injuries for any sportsman. It is serious because while it heals, it doesn’t allow the athlete to continue his training and daily routines.
“I am hoping that stem cells… hoping that will do it. I have to not be a meathead. And this is what I do. I get the stem cells and feel pretty good after four weeks. Start crushing the bag again and then, you know, I kind of aggravated one more time.” – The UFC color commentator adds.
The UFC and The Joe Rogan Experience Podcast fans and followers worry for the commentator’s well-being and hope for his fast and efficient recovery. However, most of them that are a long time with the UFC are aware that this is not Joe’s first time being absent because of an injury.
Joe Rogan is a person that likes to push his body to extremes. He says that it works well for him. After an excessive training session, he feels good. However, now, it seems like the age is catching up to him. He is not 23 anymore. Even though he looks considerably younger than he really is, being 54 years old comes with some baggage of its own.
The podcaster admits to taking PEDs and says that they make him feel younger and more capable. But now, maybe it is time to slow down on them and relax. He has done enough, he accomplished enough. He can relax and do his job with no additional pressure like this excessive training. Maybe he should start exercising in a relaxing manner.
