There have been a few unforeseen problems since June 1’s episode of AEW Dynamite and MJF’s pipe bomb as CM Punk underwent successful surgery on his injury and will be out roughly 6 months.
Aside from that, it’s been reported by Dave Meltzer that there was a technical botch on the show as MJF’s mic was so supposed to cut off halfway through his promo to make it look like he’s gone rogue.
Should MJF Hire Eric Bischoff as his Manager in AEW?
Instead, the mic stayed on for a roughly 9 minutes before it was finally cut off.
One of the most unexpected outcomes was that fans cheering MJF by the end of it, which turns him face and makes Tony Kahn and the WWE guys he brought in look like the enemy.
WCW and nWo similarities aside, there are solutions to this that doesn’t involve making it worse.
Vince Russo tweeted his idea for MJF to hire Eric Bischoff as his manager on June 2, and then on his podcast on June 8 he explained his idea further
.@TonyKhan–U REALLY want 2 get this over? Have @The_MJF Hire @EBischoff 2 Represent him going Forward. That's HEAT! U Having to Deal with EB=MONEY. I know, Dave might not like it, but-it might be time 2 say, "!@#$% DAVE", if U Want 2 Build Your Audience. https://t.co/17iU7cAwCf pic.twitter.com/uTS1csCsRF

Bring in Eric Bischoff
Russo’s idea is pure genius as it’ll bring in Eric Bischoff as MJF’s manager to deal with Tony Kahn and AEW.
Bischoff will cite MJF’s contract to keep him from appearing because he’s only supposed to do X number of appearances and matches, and if Kahn wants to change it he’ll have to renegotiate things.
It’d be an awesome angle and would light a fire under Vince McMahon and the WWE to put out a quality product to compete as AEW could shoot into the stratosphere.
Bischoff has shared hit thoughts on why he thinks MJF is the best heel, and we know he’s great in front of the camera so it’s be a great match in our opinion.
There are a couple of problems with this idea and they both are tied to Tony Kahn.
Burying the hatchet
Everyone has agreed Kahn is a good person and he means well, but the way he’s presented himself so far would most likely turn any confrontations between him and MJF or Bischoff into a circus.
Russo used harsher terms, but we agree with him. Of course, Kahn could prove us wrong and hopefully he will if he does start appearing on TV.
Personally, we’d prefer to see a face man do his work for him in front of the camera.
The other and biggest issue is the strained relationship between Bischoff and Kahn.
While Bischoff has said he has no problem with Kahn, he’s been critical of some of Kahn’s moves, with the biggest being challenging the singing of CM Punk and it being the biggest financial loss in wrestling history.
Kahn reportedly responded in a less than generous way, so to make things happen he’ll have to find a way to get him and Bischoff to move past it and come together on this.
We’d love to see Bischoff managing MJF, but let us know what you think. Would they be a great pair? Let us know in the comments below.
