UFC’s Khamzat Chimaev Agrees To Fight Belal Muhammad In October

At one point several months ago, after his bout against Gilbert Burns in April, everybody was speaking about The Borz Khamzat Chimaev. There was no question about his quality as a fighter even before that, but he showed what he is fully capable of in this bout. The fight is in the close run for the fight of the year.

The information that ‘leaks’ from the UFC in May suggested that he is about to face the ‘old school’ Nate Diaz. And fans were happy about it. However, since Nate Diaz declines the offer to fight the mighty Russian, that UFC plan does not reach fruition.

Now, Khamzat Chimaev seems to have set his eyes on another fighter. That other fighter is Belal Muhammad, the fifth fighter in the division’s rankings. Khamzat jokingly announces this on Twitter as he promises to fight Belal if he ‘leaves his Palestinian flag at home’.

This is just a mock to Dana White, as he already banns all flags from the UFC octagon.

The Russian is now in third place in the UFC rankings after the Burns win.

“I will fight you if you don’t take the Palestinian flag into battle.” – Chimaev says.

And Muhammad is fast to respond: “Respect bro, I’ll bring a flag for you too and we both fight for Palestine. I can’t bring the flag down to the battlefield anymore even if I wanted to.”

Chimaev confirms he is willing to fight Belal and shares a quick reply. “October, Abu Dhabi”.

Seems like these two already agreed on a fight. They have all set up and now it is UFC’s turn to arrange things. Will Dana White allow it?

Both Belal and Khamzat are close to a title shot, and this fight might determine who of the two gets it.

Khamzat is a very promising fighter and a fan favorite. He is a record breaker since his entering the UFC. Chimaev has his debut for the UFC back in the summer of 2020 and since then he has no lost fights. He had 3 fights in a record-breaking 2 months. Moreover, he has the first two bouts only 10 days apart of each other.

Khamzat Chimaev is able to fight in such a close period between fights since he had this no hit receiving policy that got violated in his most recent fight. Chimaev didn’t get hurt at all until his last bout. He had 10 wins, but only 4 received shots, which is astonishing.

Muhammad had dismissed his 8 fight win streak at his last fight against Leon Edwards. He is also a promising fighter and a fight between these two would be a mini war.

UFC fans across the globe want this fight to happen. Will Dana White approve it?
