All UFC, and MMA fans, in general, were hyped for the UFC 276 event. They were able to witness two title fights and many interesting side bouts. Nate Diaz was there as well. He wanted to see Israel Adesanya and Alexander Volkanovski in the first person. However, while he went to do only that, he accidentally finished in the headlines again.
After the event, Nate tried to leave the arena when he was approached by a journalist. The journalist is Shawny Mack, on assignment for Full Send MMA. While Mack tried to approach him and ask him about the event and his views on it, Nate got aggressive and answered the question while slapping Mack on the face.
Nate Diaz Attacked A Reporter Backstage At UFC 276 – Better Think Before You Write Something!
“Were you here to watch the bantamweight fight? To watch Sean O’Malley?” – the journalist asks. “Nah. And you better watch your tweets about my dude who was fighting recently.” – an unexpected reply comes from Diaz.
The Full Send journalist, surprised since he doesn’t even have a Twitter account tried to laugh off the awkward situation. However, Diaz did not have the same idea in mind. He slapped the microphone out of Mack’s hands and aimed another shot at his face. Luckily he just tipped the hat off his head.
The whole charade most probably is caused by the Instagram post that Mack had shared some time ago regarding Nick Maximov, Nate Diaz’s friend. Nick Maximov got his first loss back in May, and the post was regarding it.
Nate Diaz is not as young as he once was. His skills and endurance are fading away as well. He hasn’t fought since June 2021 when he lost against Leon Edwards back at UFC 263.
Diaz wants to get out of the promotion for quite some time now. He has one more fight with UFC to go. Nate asks for a fight against anybody, except Conor McGregor. Once he has it, his plans are to roam off to the free agency market. His goal is to arrange a fight against the Youtuber Jake Paul.
UFC president Dana White agrees with Nate. He says that his place is not in the promotion anymore and he most probably should fight someone like Jake Paul. Dana’s plan is to match up Nate with Conor McGregor one more final time before he gives the Notorious a title shot.
Conor is to return to the UFC several months from now, so we will see what happens. If Dana arranges the fight it will be one of the most successful pay-per-view fights in the recent period. What do you think? Is Conor a good match for Nate? Who would win?
