When it comes to legends in professional wrestling, Kurt Angle belongs in the conversation for one of the best all around performers the industry ever saw. Coming from a legitimate wrestling background, including an olympic gold medal (that he won with a broken freakin’ neck) – he took to professional wrestling like a fish to water, and was battling for the WWF Championship within a year of making his debut. His career in the ring is over, and soon fans can relive the story of Angle with a documentary.
WWE Is Working On A Documentary About The Life Of Kurt Angle
During the latest episode of the Kurt Angle show podcast, Angle would reveal that WWE is working on a documentary about his life. Angle would be quoted saying the following.
“The WWE bought the show from us, the documentary. They changed it up a little bit and made it a little more pro wrestling oriented. But we made a deal with them that this will air on Peacock next year. They actually added more WWE stuff to it. So the one next year on Peacock will be more about my personal life growing up and before the WWE, so it’s a really well rounded documentary.”
WWE Doesn’t Miss When It Comes To Their Documentary Content
If WWE has been consistent in one category in recent years, it’s been excellent documentaries and docu-series. The story of Kurt Angle is a perfect one to cover, and could be one of the best that WWE has ever produced. We could even hear about his time in TNA Wrestling during this, given how Impact Wrestling has worked with WWE in the past to provide footage for DVD’s.
Learning about the olympic victory in more detail alone will make this a great watch, even for those who followed the career of Angle closely during his time in the WWE. Do you think this documentary will make for a good watch? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
