‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here and we’re set to close the week out with some fun spoilery goodies to help keep us warm until the next episode.
And warm we’ll be as things are heating up in Genoa City as the Newmans are going to be faced with a pair of decisions and the consequences both could have on them.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Friday, August 19: Spoilers – Victor and Nick Take Two Different Paths; Diane Dreams of A future with Jack
But Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) acting in their best interests aren’t the only game in town as Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will have a fantasy where she and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) mend the fence and begin a new romance.

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Friday, August 19: Costs for protection
Now that Victor’s pride has the family deep into a police investigation, the Newmans are at a crossroads.
Victor will continue to remain quiet and urge the family to keep his secret now that he’s helped to make it theirs.
He knows his time is running out, but he does have an edge if everyone stays on Team Pompous instead of doing what’s right.
Therein lies the problem as Nick is going to have his own ethical problems with it as he’s the one that punched Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) and caused him to fall and hit his head.
It would’ve been a simple case Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) could’ve wrapped up in an afternoon, but now it’s escalated and Nick hasn’t had any closure in having a hand in killing someone, albeit accidentally.
So, he’s going to consider coming clean to clear his conscious and let the legal chips fall where they may.
This will lead to some problems within the family and ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers are sure the others will try to talk him out of it, basically putting Victor skating from his crime while Nick can suffer and deal.
On the flip side, this could cause Victor to step up and finally take the blame for something he did to protect his son, but even then the writers aren’t brave enough to have him face serious prison time.

Diane’s been doing her best to prove herself to her son and anyone that doubts her, but it’s been apparent since the beginning she also has her sights set on Jack.
So, it’s only natural that she’ll have a daydream or two about her and Jack patching things up and getting a fresh romance started.
It may be a bit much for her to hope for, but it’s good to have goals.
