‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here and we’re set to kick off a new week in style with some fun spoilery goodies to share.
It looks like we’re in for a fun episode to set the stage for the week, and chances are things are only going to get more interesting as we continue along these storylines.

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Monday, August 8: Victor defends his decision
Things in Genoa City are going to start heating up with Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd)’s investigation, and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will set out to defend his family once again.
Maybe at some point he’ll realize he’s the root of many of their problems?
If he does, it won’t be voluntarily as he truly thinks he’s helping his family when Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) or another Newman lawyer could’ve gotten Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) out on a self defense ruling in hours.
But instead, Victor didn’t think it was worth his family’s time in court, and now he’ll have to prepare a defense against Chance for doing his job to see that justice is done to avoid going to court.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers expect Victor’s plan to be based largely around trying to intimidate Chance into dropping his investigation.
So far, we’re happy to be wrong about Chance bowing to Victor initially and hope he keeps plowing ahead.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Monday, August 8: Does Phyllis have doubts?
Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is going to get her plan to sabotage Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) at Marchetti and Jabot, but she may be rethinking it slightly knowing it’ll affect Summer Newman (Allison Lanier).
Her daughter may be the only thing that’ll slow Phyllis down, especially when she has a history of collateral damage. We don’t have to look further than her relationship with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) as evidence of that.
Still, Phyllis is Phyllis and she may believe she’ll pull this off without a hitch. We just have a feeling it’s going to blow up in her face in glorious fashion.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Monday, August 8: Leave it to Traci
And Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will inquire what Jack’s feeling really are toward Diane in a way only she can.
She’s the heart, soul, and conscience of the Abbott family, and she’ll want to make sure Jack is happy and won’t get hurt.
To do that, she’ll need to dig into him about his true feelings for Diane. For the first time, we think he’ll admit he’s softening and is starting to be thankful she’s around.
It may not be much, but it’s a start and Traci will be willing to give her another chance for Jack’s sake.
