Impact Wrestling Emergence Results have been waiting for this match the last couple of weeks and we’re stoked to finally get it going.
This is going to be an awesome dream match. Shelley extended his hand and Josh accepted it.
Their first lockup ended in Shelley being backed into a corner and them breaking, and the second ended with a stalemate after an exchange of holds.
Shelley countered a wrist lock into his own, then he slapped on a side headlock Josh couldn’t break sending him off the ropes.
Shelley took Josh down with a head scissors and hit a dropkick to Josh’s left knee and stomped away on it before he locked in a stretch hold.

Shelley released the hold and went to work on Josh’s arm, and Josh had no problem reversing that after being trapped in the leg hold.
He wrapped Josh’s arm into the ropes and nailed it with a kick and kept working on it. After a brief exchange, Josh ran him over with a shoulder block out of the corner and his a snap suplex for a pin attempt.
Josh followed it up with a backbreaker for a pin attempt, and then he worked on Shelley’s left ankle. Shelley made it to the ropes to break the hold.
Josh put Shelley onto his back and stretched him and used a backslide for a pin attempt.
It’s the second time they let each other out of a hold for some odd reason.
Shelley came out of the corner and locked in an armbar and into a Motor City Stretch, but Josh broke it with a backbreaker.
Shelley missed a shoulder block through the ropes and Josh caught him with a knee, and Josh followed it with a crossbody that sent both of them to the floor.

Never giving up
Josh went for a kick, but Shelley caught him and hit a dragonscrew. He then went back to work on Josh’s left leg with figure four type of lock.
Josh tried to fight free, but Shelley caught his left arm and locked it into a hold, and then ate a right.
Shelley tried to end it, but Josh blocked him and the pair went back and forth before Josh could power him up for a release fisherman suplex.
Shelly hit a tornado DDT and he headed to the top rope and hit a splash for a near pinfall and Josh grabbed his ankle for an ankle lock. Shelley reached the ropes to break the hold. Shelley hit a superkick and sliced bread, but Josh rolled through it for a pin attempt.
An Air Raid Crash by Shelley for a near pinfall followed, and Josh rolled to the floor. Josh drove Shelley into the ring steps, but Shelley hit another sliced bread on the floor.
Despite Shelley working over Josh’s left arm, he could still hit a pair of German Suplexes and they traded blows until they both dropped with Josh landed on him for a pin attempt.
Josh locked in the ankle lock again, and when Shelley tried to roll through, he switched to a sharpshooter.
Shelley slipped free, but ate a clothesline for a pin attempt. Josh went back to the ankle lock and Shelley kicked out of it.
Shelley hit a pair of Shell Shocks for a pin attempt and was out maneuvered into a Tombstone Piledriver for a near pinfall.
Josh hit a Shell Shock on Shelley, and then closed it out with a C-4 Spike for the win.
This was a great match on many levels, but the constant run of finishers and kickouts from them takes away from it for us, but what do you think? Let us know in the comments below.
