Jorge Masvidal Vs Gilbert Burns Post UFC 280 Fight Agreement – See How Conor McGregor Fits In

Jorge Masvidal Vs Gilbert Burns Post UFC 280 Fight Agreement - See How Conor McGregor Fits In

UFC fans have split feelings about the alleged verbally agreed fight between Jorge Masvidal and Gilbert Burns. The duo agreed on meeting around December, and fans worry about Masvidal.

Gilbert Burns comes from a loss to the rising star Khamzat Chimaev, and Masvidal is on a losing streak as well. While Burns is eyeballing a bout against the Gamebred Masvidal for quite some time now, Masvidal has little different aspirations. He is determined to welcome Conor McGregor back to the octagon.

Jorge Masvidal Vs Gilbert Burns Verbally Agreed For After UFC 280 – Fans React To The Agreement

However, since Conor’s return is nothing more, but uncertainty at the moment, Masvidal is allegedly ‘forced’ to take a fight against ‘Durinho’.

According to FullCombat‘s tweet – “Jorge Masvidal vs. Gilbert Burns verbally agreed to happen. UFC is figuring out the date either on Dec. 10 or Jan. 23.” Fans react to this, and some of their reactions are priceless.

One ex-Masvidal fan suggests that the Gamebred should put a full stop on his career right at this point. He says that this should be Masvidal’s retirement fight if Burns comes out in his best light. For example, as he did for the Tyron Woodley fight.

“Masvidal going out like Woodley lmao this should be his retirement fight” Another one makes a very accurate comment on the fighters’ fighting styles and possible outcomes. He predicts Burns will take the fight to the ground and will finish Masvidal on the canvas.

“If it stays on the feet it’s an absolute banger. However, nothing stopping Burns from bringing it to the ground when it suits him and out pointing Jorge.”

Numerous UFC fans followed and left a comment on the bout announcement and agreed with the fact that Masvidal has already had enough of the game. Some even suggested that it may be no wonder if we even really get to see this happening. Masvidal might surprise us and leave the gloves on the canvas after the bout.

“Masvidal boutta put his gloves off in the middle of that octagon at the end of this fight” In any case, if Masvidal decides not to retire, there is one more contender who is willing to fight him at any given time. His name is Khamzat Chimaev.

Khamzat has been calling out the Gamebred for quite some time now. However, Masvidal doesn’t meet his eagerness to fight him. He considers himself an ‘elite’ fighter. In order to get a chance to fight him, Khamzat will first need to prove himself and win over some sounding names in the promotion.
