Jake Paul is struggling to arrange a match for quite some time now. Seems like nobody is interested in fighting the YouTuber. Either that or they are afraid, as Rick Ross presumes.
Speaking about boxing, Jake Paul has been pretty successful until now. He boasts an incredible record of five wins and no losses. In addition to this, four of the five wins are with a KO finish. So there is that.
Rick Ross Wants To Help Jake Paul’s Desperate Search For An Opponent
Most recently, Jake Paul should have fought Tommy Fury this August, however, after suffering VISA issues, Tommy Fury was not able to make it to the ring, and the fight got canceled. This did not discourage the young rising boxer to seek a new opponent. And that is how he found Hasim Rahman.
Hasim Rahman Jr. is the son of the former heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman. The fighters got building up the hype, they started promoting the fight. However, as it turns out, the bout was also canceled this time due to weight issues. Allegedly Hasim was unable to reach the requested weight and that led to the cancelation. At least this is the main story.
According to critics and to some very sounding names in the combat sports business, including Dana White from UFC, the reason for the cancelation is completely different. The real reason might be the low interest in the event. The low ticket sale and the low PPV sales.
Since Jake Paul is fightless for close to a year, Rick Ross, the famous rapper and a big Jake Paul fan has decided to help out the Youtuber. Ross upped the game by offering $10 million to Paul’s next opponent.
“Since everyone seems to be afraid to fight @jakepaul I’m down to put another $10 million on top to make the fight match happen. What fight would you want to see?” – Ross wrote on Twitter.
At the moment there are rumors spreading about Jake Paul fighting several different names from the combat sports business. Nate Diaz, Jorge Masvidal, Andrew Tate, etc.
Jake Paul’s most recent fight was the one against Tyron Woodley back in December 2021. He won that one by a KO and impressed the world of boxing.
Jake’s not taken seriously in the boxing sport because all of his opponents until now come from a different sport. They are all coming from MMA, or are not ‘professionals’ per se. However, he has received many endorsements for his strength and style from people that are in the sport for a very long time. Mike Tyson is one of them.
Would Rick Ross’ $10 million dollars boost his search for an opponent? What is your opinion on this?
