‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here and we’re set to close the week out with some fun spoilery goodies.
There’s going to be a flurry of demands and chances to prove oneself in this episode, and not everyone is going to like what happens in their situation. Let’s dig in and see what’s going on.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Friday, September 9: Victor demands a change
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will be on the warpath following Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) telling him he’s working at Jabot, and his target will, of course, be someone attached to Adam.
Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) has proven herself loyal to the family for not publishing the evidence that implicated Victor in a crime and she’s been doing a good job, so Victor will thank her by demanding Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) fire her.
To be clear, the only reason is because she couldn’t convince Adam to come back, and there’s no way Victoria will agree to fire her since, in her mind, Adam not being there is a good thing.
This should be a good back and forth and Victor will be even madder when Victoria won’t give the spoiled child his treat.
It could be another tease to show the Newman children will finally oust Victor from their lives, but we doubt the writers will go that far even if it would be an awesome storyline with Victor being humbled and redeem himself.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Friday, September 9: Center stage
Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) is going to have one really pissed off Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) to contend with for the plans he’s putting into motion, but we don’t think he’ll be the next obstacle.
Not directly, anyway.
Nate’s going to have to deal with the board of directors and their questions and concerns, but he has plenty of data and figures to show a festival will be a good idea and despite expected grumblings from Devon, they’ll be onboard with the idea.
If/when the festival is a success, it’ll only made the divide between the two grow larger as Devon won’t like having someone working for him that takes chances.
Afterall, when Devon lost his fortune his business also lost money to the point he had to fire people like Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes), so his business acumen is questionable without his fortune to balance the ledger.
We’re looking forward to both of these back and forths and the fun they’ll add to the storylines. Do you think Victor will get his way, or will he finally lose control of the family?
