Jake Paul Has A Date For Anderson Silva Boxing Match – Will UFC Great End Youtuber’s Career?

Jake Paul Has A Date For Anderson Silva Boxing Match - Will UFC Great End Youtuber's Career?

After a long run and after some serious struggles to find himself an opponent seems like Jake Paul finally did it. The Youtuber turned boxer will face Anderson Silva on the 29th of October and will need to prove his skills. This is his toughest test until now and it will either boost his career or end it.

The Youtuber with a 5-0 record will meet the UFC legend for an eight-round, 187lbs bout in Phoenix, Arizona. And this won’t be Jake Paul’s first ‘meeting’ with former UFC fighters. He has already knocked out Ben Asken and Tyron Woodley.

Jake Paul Has A Date For Confirming His Skills Against Anderson Silva

Regardless of his perfect record and undoubtful skills, he is still being mocked for not fighting professional boxers, but MMA fighters. In an answer to this, the Youtuber has already tried to arrange a boxing match against Tommy Fury and Hasim Rahman, but both times without success. Due to different reasons, both matchups were canceled at the last minute.

However, some might consider Anderson Silva as a boxer as well. Even though he has a lengthy career in MMA, his boxing skills prove to be exceptional as well.

Silva is not new to boxing. Back in 1998, Spider Silva lost his boxing debut in Brazil, just so he can win his next match, seven years later. For a long time, Silva held a record of 1-1. However, after 16 years of a successful MMA career, he returned to boxing once more.

For his return he faced Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. He is a disciplined boxer, a professional known for his hard punches. However, Silva showed tremendous strength and confidence in the match and won it by a split decision. He beat the legend in his home country, Mexico.

After that, Silva full of confidence went on to fight Tito Ortiz in a boxing match. Tito Ortiz is a fellow MMA legend who spent most of his career in the UFC. The duo met in September 2021 and Silva took the win once more.

At the beginning of this year, Silva faced Bruno Machado at an exhibition match, where no winner was announced. Even though there was no winner, Silva dominated the whole match.

All this attention that Anderson Silva was attracting in the boxing business world led up to fans asking him to consider boxing Jake Paul. Since both of the fighters have shown interest in arranging the bout, now, the match is to finally happen.

“Anderson ‘The Spider’ Silva is the most versatile fighter the world has ever seen.” – Jake Paul says. “Just a year ago he outclassed boxing champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr and showed the world why he is often referred to as the greatest fighter of all time. Every expert, from MMA to boxing, has said Jake Paul won’t fight Anderson Silva. They said Jake Paul is afraid of Anderson Silva, and Jake Paul would lose to Anderson Silva.”

“Ladies and gentlemen it is time for the fight announcement you have all been waiting for. I usually have to sell my fights.” – Paul says as an announcement for a video. “I usually have to do all the work, but this time Dana White, Conor McGregor’s dad, is promoting the fight for me. Thank you. He knocked Tito Ortiz out in 40 f***ing seconds, but he did to Tito exactly what should be done to Tito. Knocking Tito out in 40 seconds is what should have happened in that fight. Anderson Silva beat Julio Cesar Chavez Jr at 46, forty-f***ing-six-years-old. People should consider him one of the greatest of all time possibly even the greatest of all time.”

“Well, to all the non-believers – Jake Paul is fighting Anderson Silva.” – Paul added. “It’s an honor to have the opportunity to share the ring with the greatest UFC striker of all time. On Saturday, October 29, I will walk humbly into the ring, touch gloves with a living legend, and do my best to exterminate ‘The Spider.’”

Silva commented on the situation as well.

“I know that in life everything has its purpose.” – Silva said. “Nothing comes just by chance. So, I thank God for my health, my family, and my team for providing me with this opportunity. They help me continue doing the thing that I love the most. I believe this will be the biggest combat event of the year and will truly make history in the sport forever. See you on October 29.”

Many predict that Jake Paul will finally get what he asked for, including UFC president Dana White who said that Jake Paul “finally has a real fight on his plate”.

“I don’t give a s*** what they do.” – White told reporters. “But if he’s really fighting Anderson Silva, and that’s true, it’s about time, he’s got a real fight on his hands there. Regardless of how old Anderson is, yeah, that’s a real fight.”

The match will have 8 rounds and Jake Promises that they will all be active and most likely end up with a knockout.

Ahead of the bout, Anderson Silva enters as a betting favorite. He comes off a KO win against Tito Ortiz and before that he defeated Julio Cesar Chavez Jr by decision. He is fairly active in the boxing business and presents the biggest threat for Jake Paul until now.

Paul on the other hand hasn’t fought since the last December when he KO’d Tyron Woodley. Who do you think will win? Does Jake Paul have what it takes to defeat the Spider?
