According to the following email from Vivid Entertainment’s Steve Hirsch, the tape made more than one million dollars in the first 6 weeks.
In a screenshot of the email, we can see that the tape apparently made $1,424,636.63. And as part of that process, it is claimed that $1,255,578.50 came from the sale of DVDs.
This claim is highly significant for the following reasons. First of all, Kim made it very clear that she was worried about the presence of another sex tape during her time on ‘The Kardashians.’
So much so that she broke down in tears. And yet, Ray alleges that Kris Jenner chose the sex tape in question. Secondly, Ray also alleges that each would get $400,000 and 12.5% of the profits.
Nevertheless, it is important to remember this. Regardless of the money that was involved, Kim’s reaction made it very clear that she did not want to get herself involved in any of this.
And even if she did do so previously, regardless of whether Ray J had the authority to release the tape or not, it is clear that she is looking to move on from this as soon as possible.
After all, given that she has managed to achieve billionaire status, this is the last thing that Kim would want hanging over her since it could affect her brand.
The fans on social media did not view Kim in a positive light. A certain subset of people were of the view that she had nobody to blame but herself. And with that, the comments were very harsh indeed.
One person wrote: “So Rhonda was right, she was the highest paid porn star.” It is fair to say that Kim and Ray are not on very good terms.
