There was no “Moves of Doom Mondays” last Monday, so let’s start with the first of our double feature as we look at former ECW World champion Rhino!
The Man Beast was known for being pretty tank-y and his incredible bursts of speed. Mix that with some close-range offense and you’ve got a walking nightmare but let’s see what his arsenal of doom is looking like.
Belly-to-Belly Suplex
To be honest, Rhino didn’t have a vast arsenal of moves but he had the ones that would get the job done and get it done quickly. His belly-to-belly suplex isn’t as flashy as his more technically-minded peers and contemporaries, it has this stiffness to it where Rhino doesn’t fling his opponent for distance but bedrock plants them.
I’d say that his belly-to-belly suplex is closer to Ken Shamrock’s than Scott Steiner’s in execution.

Rhino Driver
Most of Rhino’s offense targets the neck or the torso—spine, ribs, innards—Rhino’s obliterating all of that. The Rhino Driver targets the neck and is the Man Beast’s most dangerous move.
When he busts this out, he really wants you to be a few inches shorter as he’s claiming your neck.
It’s a regular-ass piledriver, yes but when he goes to the middle rope or drives someone off the ring apron and through a table, that’s just a level of carnage that would cause a great sense of doom in any foe!

Death Valley Driver
This is a move that, sure, Rhino uses it but I really don’t associate it with being one of his moves of doom. However, Rhino only has a handful of devastating maneuvers that he uses regularly and the DVD is pretty much in the middle of regular use and an associated move.
Mind you, this is a move that I would associate with Rhino if it was a finisher. His Death Valley Driver isn’t bad but looked more devastating when he was in ECW, TNA, and the indies. It’s in a weird place but it allows Rhino to compress necks so I f**k with it.
DOOM Scale: 3 out of 5
Gore
Rhino’s Spear—better known as the GORE! GORE!! GORE!!! This was the move that really sold his character as the Man Beast.
It also showed how devastating he can be with his motor going at 10 percent and just a little distance in the ring. He was blasting people with this move and having them crumple up like the Crash Test Dummies–there’s your 90s reference.
What really popped this move is when he began Goring people through tables and the carnage left behind. Oh! The shards of tables and bent table legs!
Oh, how the table just folded over on his victim once they felt the Gore!
This move was simple as hell and had no razzle-dazzle but it was as gritty and violent a move as Rhino deserved and it worked as a finisher.
