Right now in AEW, we’re seeing the third reign of Jon Moxley as AEW World Champion. It’s been a truly wild six months, with CM Punk winning the belt twice, and getting injured both times. One man who has been watching this chaos from the side of Wardlow, who is the reigning TNT Champion – and claims that if he was AEW World Champion, this wouldn’t be a problem.
Wardlow Wouldn’t Be Losing The AEW World Championship Multiple Times In A Year
During an appearance on Dynamite Download, Wardlow would claim that if he was AEW World Champion – the belt wouldn’t be passed around so much. Wardlow would be quoted saying the following.
“The state of the Heavyweight Title has been in shambles for months. And the only thing I’ll say about it, is if Wardlow was the AEW World Heavyweight Champion, he would still be the AEW World Heavyweight Champion. It would have been the Summer of Wardlow, and it would have been the Fall of Warldow. And it would have been the Winter of Wardlow. And it would have been the Spring of Wardlow. And it would have been the f**king summer again. Like, I ain’t f**king going nowhere. Everybody wants to hot potato that sumbitch; hand it to me, watch me take off.”
Calling MJF A Piece Of Sh*t
During the same interview, Wardlow would be asked about his former employer and current #1 contender to the AEW World Championship, MJF. Wardlow defeated MJF at Double Or Nothing in a matter of minutes, and many feel that if MJF wins the World Championship, Wardlow will be the one to strike him down. When asked about MJF, Wardlow has the following to say.
“Aw, f**kin’ Max. So, you know, I’m man enough to admit that Max is very good at what he does, clearly. It doesn’t take away from the fact that he is truly, wholeheartedly, a piece of s**t. People really have no idea, like people have no clue. For the people that think it’s like, ‘Oh, he never turns it off. He’s just really good at his gimmick.’ No, it doesn’t turn off because it’s who he is. And then the people that are like, ‘Oh no, no no…’ They’re so blind, they’re so stupid, dude.”
