My Big Fat Fabulous Life viewers are aware of what Whitney Way Thore and her family have been through a lot this season, with her mother, Babs suffering a life-threatening stroke. Thankfully, things are beginning to get better.
Whitney Thanks Her Fans And Followers For Their Support
Viewers have seen Babs recuperating and she is still under medical supervision till now. Whitney shared a video of her mother’s recovery journey with her fans. Apparently, Babs is getting better each day. Whitney captioned the video in a lengthy Instagram post, “My mom had her stroke on 12/28/21. The time between then and now has been the most trying and difficult, and also the most treasured time we have ever known.

I want to say thank you on behalf of my family,from the bottom of our hearts, for the unbelievable amount of support and well wishes we receive daily for my mother. Knowing how much she is loved by people who have never even met her is overwhelming.”
The MBFFL star further revealed that she reads all the comments they receive on Instagram to her mother. And all the family agreed to watch the latest season of MBFFL together so they can see their matriarch’s recovery on the screen.
Whitney continued in her post, “This video was from January 2022 when mom was in the hospital rehab. Right now, the update on Mom is that we are still at Abbotswood!. We moved into a huge two-bedroom a few months ago as soon as one became available, so I have a bedroom of my own now! Dad has also been a resident there since day one, and we have an ever-changing revolving door of animals in the apartment as well!
(Some new ones I will introduce soon!)” Whitney said further that her Mom will still remain in the rehab because their house is not wheelchair accessible and two nurses needs to be at her beck and call, which is why they chose to stay at Abbotswood.
Whitney continued, “At Abbotswood, she continues to get therapy, delicious meals 3 times a day, and she is able to interact with lots of people. Abbotswood is home to us now and we couldn’t be happier. Thank you so much for loving my mother.”
