Since their match at Summerslam 2022 was cancelled, it’s been hard to keep Seth Rollins & Matt Riddle away from each other. Their brutal brawls have been a highlight of Monday Night RAW, and tonight – they finally meet in a sanctioned match. Rollins is still trying to bounce back after being shut out in a feud with Cody Rhodes, and defeating Matt Riddle here tonight at Clash At The Castle could see Rollins turn this year around – but Riddle claiming this big time victory could make him into a proper main event star in WWE. Things got serious when Rollins brought up the family of Riddle, that his wife divorced him and his kids don’t want to see him – and Riddle could be looking to flat out injure Rollins tonight.
Seth Rollins & Matt Riddle Are Here To Steal The Show
Rollins & Riddle would get right into a brawl as the bell rang, with Riddle being driven into the corner – and him fighting out with knee strikes. The mid-kicks would land, but Riddle would risk getting DQ’d if he didn’t let up while Rollins was in the ropes. Riddle would argue with the referee, before hitting some gutwrench suplexes on Rollins in the middle of the ring.
Rollins would run into Riddle with a lariat, before being dropped with a knee to the chest – before a set of senton splashes for a two count. Riddle would send Rollins to the floor, but the PK would be caught into a barricade powerbomb. Rollins would maintain control in the ring, and would get a two count on a pinfall.
Riddle would get crotched on the top rope, before Rollins attempted the Inverted Superplex. Instead, Rollins would kick Riddle in the eyes and set up the hanging double stomp for a near fall. The Superplex would land, but Riddle would block the Falcon Arrow and hit the Fisherman Buster.

The Pedigree was blocked in the ring, with the Bro to Sleep, Powerbomb and Final Flash knee strike landing in sequence – with Rollins somehow able to kick out.
Riddle would apply the triangle choke, and Rollins was starting to fade. He’d able to stomp his way free, and hit Riddle with the Bro-Derek for the near fall. Rollins stealing the finisher of Riddle somehow wasn’t enough, so he’d look for that Phoenix Splash. Riddle would avoid and hit the Pele Kick, before taking a series of hard elbow strikes.
Rollins took a knee strike, before a deadlift German Suplex. Riddle looked for the powerbomb, but was countered into the Pedigree – getting a near fall. Rollins would talk some trash and call Riddle a loser, firing him up to set up the Orton style draping DDT. The RKO was attempted, but Riddle blocked into the rear naked choke.
Rollins would be hit with elbow smashes to the back of the head, before Riddle would grab a steel chair. Rollins avoided the shot and got the high ground in the ring to hit the Curb Stomp. A second rope Curb Stomp would follow – and Rollins gets a much needed big win.
