This has not been a great week for The Brawling Brutes, losing title matches on Tuesday & Friday – with Imperium interference key in them not beating Pretty Deadly, and keeping GUNTHER as WWE Intercontinental Champion. Tonight, Brawling Brutes have a chance to get their revenge – as they meet Imperium in a Good Ol’ Fashioned Donnybrook Match.
What does that even mean? No DQ with a pub background, and complete violence from six dangerous men. Previously, Sheamus met Drew McIntyre in this match type – with McIntyre going on to win and face Roman Reigns in the main event of Clash At The Castle.
Brawling Brutes Get Overwhelmed
Before this match would begin, we’d get the first of many White Rabbit teases tonight – but no reveal of just what is happening yet. At ringside was a bar, some oak barrels, and bar stools – all of which will likely be used here tonight. BUtch & Vinci would make their way to the floor and brawl on the announce table, as Ludwig would hit a running uppercut on Holland in the ring.
Sheamus would drive GUNTHER into the barricade, as Butch & Holland focused on Ludwig in the ring. Butch would be chopped down by GUNTHER, as Imperium would look to control the ring. A spinebuster from Vinci was followed by a PK from Ludwig, before Butch was sent out to the floor. The Bar would be ripped apart, and Sheamus fire up only to be beaten down three on one by Imperium.
Barrels would be tossed about, before Sheamus would be driven shoulder first into the steel steps. Butch would dive in to try and save Sheamus, before he’d be swatted aside. GUNTHER would hit some machine gun chops, before hitting a back suplex onto the bar. Holland & Butch would look to get back into the fight in the ring – but Imperium remained in firm control.
Butch would get an enziguri in on GUNTHER, before Vinci & Ludwig would run him down. Holland would block a kick from Ludwig, before a double backdrop to both Vinci & Ludwig. They’d respond with the European Bomb on the floor, leaving Butch effectively alone as this match continues.
Imperium Resort To Weapons
The three on one attack would easily overwhelm Butch, with GUNTHER putting him in place as Ludwig & Vinci would nail running dropkicks in the corner. Instead of looking to end it, Imperium would take time to punish Butch with chops. At ringside, Sheamus would fire up and whip Ludwig & Vinci into the barricade.
GUNTHER would call Sheamus into the ring, and after two stellar singles meetings – we know what comes next. They would trade heavy blows in the middle of the ring, before Gunther hit a German Suplex. Sheamus would fire back with a powerslam, sending GUNTHER rolling to the apron.
Ten Beats Of The Bodhrán would follow – and Sheamus would go well past ten, with Butch & Holland joining in the fun. White Noise would land in the ring – and set up the Brogue Kick, with GUNTHER nearly pinned. Vinci broke things up with a splash, and with Holland helping to maintain order.
GUNTHER took Butch & Holland out with a double dropkick – before the Irish Curse backbreaker. Cloverleaf would be applied – before Ludwig broke the shillelagh over the back of Sheamus to make the save. Sheamus & GUNTHER would trade blows in the middle of the ring – before both staggered.
Sheamus Leads His Group To Victory
Both groups would regroup and reach their feet, before an all out brawl. Sheamus would get the knee strike to GUNTHER, with Vinci yanking him from the ring. Butch would moonsault off the barrels onto Vinci & Ludwig, as Holland held them in place. With ringside a disaster, Sheamus & GUNTHER met in the ring, GUNTHER armed with a giant shillelagh.
Sheamus would somehow kick out after being cracked across the face. Powerbomb was blocked as Butch went after the fingers, before Sheamus got a free shot at the face of GUNTHER with the shillelagh. Butch & Holland would arm themselves and beat Ludwig & Vinci down as Sheamus hit the Celtic Cross on GUNTHER right through the announce table.
