At AEW Full Gear 2022, we got the first match in the Best of Seven Series between The Elite & Death Triangle. Death Triangle scored the victory, after Rey Fenix would use the bell hammer to block the One Winged Angel from Kenny Omega. Tonight, we get match two in this series between six of the greatest professional wrestlers in the world today. Will The Elite fall another match behind, or can they prove they are on the same level as Death Triangle?
Death Triangle Look To Make It 2-0
PAC would be sporting a face guard after suffering a nose injury at Full Gear, but Omega would be keen on starting with Fenix. They’d shake hands, before Omega laid out Fenix with the V-Trigger as a cheap shot. The Elite would stomp Fenix out in the middle of the ring, while keeping Penta & PAC away from the ring, with The Young Bucks hitting apron powerbombs on both men.
In the ring, Omega would nail the Sky High on Fenix for a two count, while Penta took out Nick with a slingblade before Matt took him down with a hurricanrana. Omega would signal the dive to the floor, before Fenix took him down with a cutter and nailing his own dive to the floor.
Death Triangle would hit their own variant of Risky Business, before Young Bucks would take PAC out on the floor. Matt would hit a moonsault onto the Lucha Bros, as Omega & PAC would trade blows in the middle of the ring. Kotoro Crusher from Omega would get the two count, before The Elite would isolate PAC in their corner.
The Elite Mock CM Punk & Ace Steel In Chicago
Nick would go for a Buckshot Lariat, and did about as well as CM Punk at the move. Omega would proceed to bite PAC like his name was Ace Steel, before Penta would go after Young Bucks and took them both out with backbreakers before catching Omega with one. PAC would take a V-Trigger to the back of the head before a dragon suplex.
BTE Trigger would nearly end it, before Fenix broke the pinfall up. Another V-Trigger and the One Winged Angel almost ended it, but instead Omega would nail the Go To Sleep for a near fall. Meltzer Driver would be blocked into a Victory Roll for a two count, before Matt would catch PAC with a low blow.
Matt would attempt to use a ring hammer, before Penta grabbed one of his own and knocked Matt out – with PAC getting the pinfall. This series is now Death Triangle with two wins, and The Elite with none. They sent a message to CM Punk in his hometown, but perhaps took their eyes off the ball.
