Okay, before ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers gets into too much trouble, we want to point out there’s a method to our madness. What is it? Great question. Let’s take a peek.
We fully understand why Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will accuse Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) of breaking Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway)’s heart. He’s her father and most dads would act along those same lines.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Victor Should be Happy with Chance
But to be fair, Chance was never really compatible with the Newmans. He has integrity and honor that go beyond family boundaries, so it was only a matter of time before he found himself on the outs.
He sold his soul to close the case on Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) and save Victor from potentially serving some time, and when coupled with how he’s changed since returning from Spain he was becoming more distant than not.
Let’s not even get into his wife having a child through artificial means while he was away to help her sanity instead of seeing a psychiatrist.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: There were teases
There were plenty of teases that Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) was going to be a issue at some point with his desire to be part of his son’s life, and we don’t blame him for that.
And he didn’t push the boundaries aside from spending time with Dominic, so there wasn’t any harm being done. And this is where we think Victor should be happy.
Now that Abby and Chance’s marriage is basically over, and Devon’s free and single, Devon can marry Abby and complete the circle, so to speak.
Victor thinks very highly of him. Far more than he does Chance, or so ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers think.
This way, Victor would get the son in law he’d want over one that resisted his lone attempt to sway him. It’d make for a happier Newman family for Victor.
The problem is he’ll have to get over his anger with Chance and accept their marriage ending came thanks to her cheating.
There’s every chance Victor won’t go that far, at least to Chance, but we’d be surprised if he doesn’t see the possibilities when he does learn the full truth.
The issue with that is it could literally be months before he does. We doubt Chance will tell him, as it’d be wiser for him to explain things in as little detail for Victor to have the opportunity to put more blame on him.
