Former WWE Champion and World Champion Dave Bautista is extremely interested in being in Netflix’s Gears of War film and has tweeted a video of himself in the series’ armor.
Dave Bautista Posts Video of Himself in “Gears of War” Armor – Tells Netflix “I Can’t Make This Any Easier”
Both Netflix and Gears of War were tagged with the Guardians of the Galaxy star saying “I can’t make this any easier. The video itself is from a 2019 trailer for Gears of War 5, the title in which Dave Bautista is a DLC character. The role Bautista is seeking is that of the main character Marcus Fenix.
As a matter of fact, Bautista turned down a role in the popular and proven money-printing franchise Fast and Furious to get on the game’s entry into film saying:
“They wanted to talk to me about Fast and the Furious, and I said ‘I’m not interested, let’s talk about Marcus Fenix.’”
That is some commitment to the role and it the film was only announced earlier in November 2022. Usually, you’ll hear of actors expressing interest in doing a film or any playing a role such as when John Cena expressed interest in playing Duke Nukem a couple of years ago.
In the case of his fellow OVW class of 2002 mate, this is a campaign for the role. Do you believe he’s a good fit for the film? Will Netflix give him the nod on the Marcus Fenix role? Do you believe there is a better pick for Fenix?
