Sister Wives Season 17 currently shows Christine relocating to Utah after she divorced Kody and left the plural family. She left Flagstaff with their daughter, Truely and Kody is totally against this move. Despite being an absentee father when her daughter was living under his roof in Flagstaff, the patriarch said he wants joint custody of Truely. He further said that he could see through her smiles and that she doesn’t seem happy staying with her mom.
Fans Think Kody Is Trying To Avoid Child Support
Sister Wives fans believe Kody is just being irrational and only looking for flimsy excuses. A user wrote on Reddit, “Random thought on why Kody is so adamant in insisting he wants a 50/50 custody of [Truely]. He has admitted to throwing random crap out about the state owning [Truly] if they don’t have a custody agreement etc. Why he really wants a custody agreement in place and specifically a 50/50 split is to avoid child support.”
Kody Brown Insists Truely Is Not Happy With Her Mom, Christine
During Sister Wives season 17, the patriarch felt that Truely would have preferred joint custody and later pointed out that she wasn’t smiling enough. However, fans think he has no point and that he is only bent on making Christine look like the bad person in the whole situation. Understandably, he is not pleased with Christine leaving him, but he is wrong to take out his hurt and anger on their innocent children.
Christine’s daughter Mykelti proposed a send-off party for her mother, and she wanted everyone to be in attendance, so she could leave Flagstaff ceremoniously. Her plan didn’t go down well with the rest of the family. Even Christine didn’t support her idea.
Kody and Robyn were not cheerful during the party and he left rudely at some point. Fans lashed out at him for behaving in such a manner in his kids’ presence and for disrespecting their daughter. Many fans praised Mykelti for her thoughtfulness and for trying to control the situation.
