If there was any doubt about the skills of Logan Paul in a WWE ring, they were quashed when he hit the ring against Roman Reigns on Saturday at Crown Jewel. Paul went toe to toe with the top star of the company with the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship on the line, and looked like he belonged in his third match. However – the match ending in favour of Reigns wasn’t the only blow Paul suffered, as he suffered some nasty injuries as well.
Logan Paul Suffers Torn Meniscus, MCL, Potentially Torn ACL
Following the match, we’d see Paul note some serious injuries suffered in the match on social media. These would be backed up from a report from WWE – which had the following to say.
UPDATE: @LoganPaul announced on @Twitter that he suffered a torn meniscus, MCL, and potentially ACL during his match against @WWERomanReigns at #WWECrownJewel.
This is a serious list of injuries, mirroring that suffered by Seth Rollins seven years ago – which resulted in him having to make major changes to his in-ring style. Given that Paul mainly showed incredible athletic ability in his three WWE matches, an injury slowing him down takes away some of his in-ring appeal. Luckily for Paul, he’s also someone who brings a lot of charisma to the table – and his part-timer status with WWE combined with outside fame will keep him on the marquee.
Can Safely Scratch Logan Paul Off The List For The Royal Rumble In January
There is zero doubt he will miss time due to these injuries, with an appearance in the Royal Rumble likely impossible – unless these reports are greatly exaggerated by Paul & WWE alike. WWE might opt to put Jake Paul in the ring for the Royal Rumble instead, with Jake having yet to make a proper WWE debut.
WWE will be wanting Logan Paul in the ring as soon as possible, and will likely try to push for an in-ring return for the next Crown Jewel event, which will take place in 2023. Logan Paul might never have another match like his main event against Reigns after this injury – but do you think he will still remain a fixture in WWE?
