When looking at potential challengers for Roman Reigns, no one expected to see Logan Paul step up. However tonight, the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship is on the line as The Tribal Chief takes on the Internet megastar. Paul feels he’s one lucky punch from getting the victory, and intends to remain undefeated in WWE. However he’s just won two matches – while Reigns has been champion for two years – putting the odds firmly in the corner of Reigns tonight.
Logan Paul Comes In Confident
Paul would talk trash all the way through Roman Reigns’ long entrance, remaining highly confident. Reigns would easily overpower Paul as this match began, with a series of mat returns before Paul would get a Fireman’s Carry. A throat thrust would drop Paul, who swung a wild haymaker – missing Reigns by a mile.
Head & Arm Choke would be applied by Reigns, driving Paul into the corner before sending him off the ropes for a back elbow. Paul would land a hip toss, and Reigns rolled out to the floor. Reigns would sucker him in, kicking him in the gut. Back in the ring, Paul would hit a slingshot lariat, getting a two count.
A hotshot over the top rope would be followed by a springboard, with Paul shot out of the sky with a throat thrust. Reigns would finally go to second gear, realising he can’t just snooze past Paul – and would hit a back drop. A tight headlock was applied, with Reigns letting go to batter Paul in the corner before a leaping lariat.
Roman Reigns Gets The Win
Paul would be taken into the Camel Clutch, with Reigns talking some trash. Reigns would be cocky, and caught with a Gutwrench Suplex before a Blockbuster out of the corner for a two count. Paul would catch Reigns with a Superman Punch, but was unable to make the cover. He’d kip up and hit the flying crossbody, before a moonsault press for a two count.
The uranage would be the counter to the Sweet Chin Music, before Paul would hit a set of punches for a two count. Reigns was set up on the announce table, and Paul would leap from the top rope through the table with a frog splash. Back in the ring, the referee was taken out and The Usos would attack the entourage of Paul – but Jake Paul hit the ring.
He’d drop the tag champions with some sloppy shots, before Solo Sikoa came out and was stopped by security. The Usos were dropped by a flying Logan Paul, and back in the ring – Reigns hit the spear for the victory. He remains champion, only taking a single spear to do the deed this time around.
