’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers: Kim Is Not With Usman On His Adoption Plan
“I am mad. I’m irritated. I feel like you do this all the time to me. You tell me what I want to hear, and I get here, and it’s a different f—ing story,” she told him. “You didn’t tell me that Mohamed didn’t know about this adoption thing. So yeah, I’m irritated. I don’t even want to talk about this right now.” Usman exited the room after Kim expressed her feelings and discussed their issues with Jamal, Kim’s child.

Jamal supported his mother while acknowledging that Kim was “kinda upset” because his sibling was unaware of their adoption plans. “She was shell-shocked that you didn’t tell Mohamed what was going on,” he said. “And I know that you aren’t technically lying, but from where I’m from when you don’t tell the whole truth, it’s kinda a lie.” “That’s not the reality right now, Usman,” Jamal told him.
“The reality is you gave her the decision to adopt your brother’s son, and I feel like this is another sacrifice she is making for you.” Jamal is concerned that the couple’s adoption plans are progressing too quickly. Usman responded, “I think about the future, how we can live together and how our lives will be.
That’s going to be sweet for both of us.” However, Usman believed that Jamal needed to mind his own business. “Sometimes, Jamal gets too much into his mom’s business. It’s also too much for me, “said he. “And after we meet Mohammed in person, I think Kimberly will be okay with the adoption.”
According to Kim, Usman “could have done a better job of communicating” their plans, so she was anxious to meet Mahadi, his wife, and their 4-year-old Mahadi, whom they are considering adopting. She said, In a confessional, “I’m thinking about adopting his brother’s child, but he finds it normal while I don’t.
It isn’t typical. It’s not what we do, so maybe when it comes to being a possible parent, I think I need to know everything.” Kim expressed her concerns about startling the family with the adoption on the way to the visit, and Usman defended it by saying, “In [an] African sense, his child is regarded as my child. Not because I’m the father but because his father is my brother.”
In a confessional, he gave the reason behind his desire to adopt. The pair played with Mahadi and gave him a gift as soon as they got there, forging an instant connection. Kim was “terrified” to hear what Mahadi’s parents thought of their intentions and continued to worry about adopting at “this stage in her life.” At last, Usman told his brother the truth, stating, “We would like to speak with you, Mohammed. I was thinking if you could give us Mahadi to adopt him as our child.”

Mohammed and his wife seemed surprised by the remark and enquired about what he meant. Usman then committed to Mahadi to provide “the best education” and “anything he needed.” In response, his brother said, “This request is quite strong here. I don’t want a situation whereby my child will go there without having Islamic orientation.” “Adopting Mahadi is going to be a good thing for him, for schooling in America,” he said. “I love you so much, and we know each other, like, we get that connection.
He is already blood. He’s my brother’s son.” He continued, “I need to have a child. So the adoption is good for me, Kimberly, and the whole family.” Mohammed acknowledged in a confessional that the request left him “somewhat surprised.”
“We prefer our child to be raised with specific cultural and religious orientations because there are differences in culture and religion, and that is what makes it awkward,” he said. Kim resoundingly declined Mohamed’s offer to convert to Islam. She also informed Usman that it was improper to surprise them with the adoption proposal.
“It is very clear that Mohammed does have a lot of reservations about raising Mahadi to be Muslim, and I don’t want to convert to Muslim,” she explained in a confessional. “I give so much in this relationship. I’ve sacrificed a lot, and I feel like Usman is just going too far.” She continued by saying that she believed Usman’s adoption had placed her in a “really tough position.”
Later, Kim addressed Jamal about her reasons for wanting a child and discussed the prospect of adoption with him. She acknowledged that she didn’t know if the adoption would ease her marriage’s problems. Usman was “taking advantage of how much you’ll do for him,” Jamal said to his mother, but she disagreed. As a result of their chat, Kim said, “Usman wants to have children, and Usman will make a fantastic father, but we have to be on the same page.”
Usman will be a wonderful father, but they must be on the same page. “I feel Usman needs to start explaining things more because we’re supposed to be partners in everything, so my mind is not made up yet as of now,” she added. “I need to hear from Mohammed and his wife again. I need to hear if it is okay. I need to know their decision so that I can make up mine.”
