One of the things that caught ‘General Hospital’ (GH) Spoilers attention recently was the lack of attention given to an important detail following Rory Cabrera (Michael Kruse)’s death.
The fact that he went rogue to investigate a lead that Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) was going to see has been the storyline, but no one is mentioning the poor guy that was killed.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The PCPF Appears Clueless in Hunting for the Hook
While it looks like he was the one that supplied the snake venom used in the attacks and murders, there hasn’t been a mention of his possible ties or digging into his own banking and other history to determine any ties to possible evil doers.
Instead, they waved a earing from years ago around as the true piece of evidence, which we think was a way for Heather Webber (Alley Mills) to divert the investigation onto Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom).
For a show that prides itself on being detailed, they really missed some basic elements that could’ve helped stretch the storyline out in a logical way instead of making it over convoluted.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Rory leaving changed the plans?
With the actor’s status going from contract to recurring role, it seemed the writing was on the wall, especially after we didn’t see him on TV for extended periods.
It’s possible that whatever prompted his release and the death of Rory changed the planned storyline segment and the currently ignored victim would’ve been the focus and may have been in possession of the earing Rory had.
Things happen that cause rewrites and all, but for someone that’s enjoyed “Law and Order” throughout it’s run, this is a glaring omission.
While ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers think this is to give Rory’s death a purpose, the lazy writing when it came to the other victim is inexcusable.
Of course, we say that now but they could return to that person any day.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The PCPF looks incompetent
Aside from Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) making things harder for Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper), the writers haven’t done them any favors by ignoring the victim but also making the Port Charles Police Force look like they don’t know what’s going on.
All it took was for Dante to mention how it looks like they’re dealing with a serial killer despite that being the unofficial stance of the PCPF for a while now to get another eyebrow raise out of us.
We have faith the writers will make things work and not forget things in the shuffle, but there’s always the possibility they’ll adopt an “out of sight, out of mind” approach and pretend Rory was the only victim, or at least downplay the other character.
Do you think the writers will go back to the other victim, or have we seen and heard the last of him? Let us know in the comments below and check back with ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation.
