‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here and we’re set to kick off a new week with some fun spoilery goodies to share.
We’re in for a couple of repeat scenes or storylines, but there’s also a twist that’s going to prove interesting if it’s handled right and it looks like it’ll be fun to watch unfold. Let’s dive in!
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Monday, December 5: More questions
Here’s where we get back into the repeats that have slowed storyline after storyline down to a crawl and rip all the fun out of them.
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will sit down with Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) and continue to try to get answers about why he’s divorcing Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway).
We’re guessing this will be because either Victor didn’t ask her about it or won’t push too hard because she’s upset, which means he wants to know everything despite it not being his business, and he’s blaming Chance.
Chance already took all the blame, but Victor will keep pressing him to answer, and since he always gets his way either Chance or Abby will break after another of these meetings. Maybe a fourth.
And then Victor will order Chance to fix it by ignoring what was done, and/or tell Abby he’s not worthy of her. We expect Victor will play both sides while finding a way to defend Abby.
On the flip side, Victor will feel vindicated when Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) learns that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) still loves Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) after he walks in on them.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Monday, December 5: Not an ideal situation
It looks like Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will “let” Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) into the Abbott mansion, which means he’ll probably let himself in so he can talk to her about having a part in sending him away.
This will create a firestorm in the Abbott family, and while Diane will be blamed by Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) for her role, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will bear the brunt of it.
And a lot of the heat will come from her own daughter as Summer Newman (Alison Lanier) will confront her at some point.
Phyllis will deny it, but this could be the turning point when the Mean Girls Club faces their reckoning for holding onto their hate to vehemently.
The worst part is Phyllis may not even realize the danger she created or accept any of the responsibility as taking responsibility isn’t one of her strengths at this point.
Is there a chance for Phyllis to undo the damage she’s going to cause before it gets to that point? Let us know in the comments below and check back with ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation.
