When everybody got rid of Kanye West, Elon Musk thought that he deserves another chance. He unbanned his Twitter account and allowed him to reach his audience once more. However, starting from today, all that changes.
Elon Musk decided to give Kanye West the boot and ban him from his social media platform for violating the terms of the company. According to Twitter, Kanye West was ‘inciting violence’ over offensive tweets.
Elon Musk Permanently Bans Kanye West From Twitter
It took about two months for Kanye West to go over the limit again and receive the permanent ban. The latest controversial tweet and the one that essentially earned him his ban is a photo montage of a combination of a swastika and a Jewish star.
Elon Musk, who is a self-proclaimed advocate for free speech decided to ban his ‘friend’ after a Twitter user asked him to ‘fix Kanye’.
The billionaire then tried explaining to Kanye West what is acceptable on the platform, and what isn’t. He left a comment on two of his tweets.
“This is fine” – Elon Musk replied to Kanye’s post picturing Elon on a yacht, sprayed with water by his friend. “This is not.” – he replied to Kanye West’s tweet of a swastika.
“Just clarifying that his account is being suspended for incitement to violence, not an unflattering pic of me being hosed by Ari. Frankly, I found those pics to be helpful motivation to lose weight!” – Elon Musk clarified his decision for banning Kanye West.
“Whatever motivates you, Elon. The most important thing to note is that just like the companies you lead, you’re not afraid of making drastic changes to yourself – to make yourself a better man tomorrow than you are today.” – one user praised Musk for his move.
However, the controversy about Kanye West’s ban doesn’t end here. Kanye West being Kanye West took to Truth Social to share a number of screenshots directed at Twitter’s CEO, Elon Musk.
One of the screenshots shows a private SMS conversation between Elon Musk and Kanye West.
“Sorry but this is not love, you have gone too far.” – Elon Musk to Kanye right before banning his account.
“Who made you the judge?” – Kanye West replied. Musk, unaware of how to cope with Kanye West replied with the Lord’s Prayer. Kanye West ended the conversation by writing “I’m Jesus name”.
Kanye West is completely out of control. A few days ago, he made a shocking appearance at an interview with the US Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones. During the interview, he praised Adolf Hitler and spoke about his views on sin, the devil, and pornography. Imagine, at one point, even Alex Jones laughed and distanced himself from what Ye told on his show.
“These comments mixed with his high profile and huge following have dangerous consequences.” – said Karren Pollock, the head of the UK’s Holocaust Educational Trust.
Out of the blue, Kanye West became a vocal anti-Semitist during the past few months. He made numerous racist and Nazi remarks that led to his cancelling on social media, as well as breaking some of his business relationships. For example, clothing giant Adidas cut ties with the rapper ever since he made the first controversial statement in October.
Meta and Twitter initially locked Kanye West’s accounts in October. The social media companies deleted his posts and locked his account. One of Ye’s controversial claims is that the Jewish community is in control of his longtime friend, the rapper Diddy.
The whole controversy sparked after Kaye West organized a Paris Fashion show, where he wore a ‘White Lives Matter’ T-shirt. The fashion show received massive backlash, resulting in branding him as a white supremacist.
Kanye West gave us a hint at his controversial beliefs in 2018. Back then, he told his Twitter followers that the African-Americans chose to be slaves. ‘Slavery is a choice’ – he wrote and received a massive reaction.
There was hope that Kanye West might find his freedom of speech on Twitter. Ever since Elon Musk took over the social media, he went on a spree of unbanning and retrieving accounts of controversial people. One of the first he brought back were Kanye West and Donald Trump.
Now, Elon Musk claims that he had nothing to do with the initial unbanning in October. He tells that Twitter restored Kanye’s account before he acquired Twitter.
Kanye West has psychological issues. He revealed it years ago that doctors diagnosed him with bipolar disorder. The rapper spoke about the challenges he faces with his mental health on numerous occasions as well.
However, in the past period, Kanye West claimed that the doctors actually prescribed him medication that keeps him ‘sedated’. Ever since he realized this he stopped taking the medication and he feels ‘great’ again.
This might be one of the reasons for his uncontrollable behavior. He has mental issues and he is leaving them untreated.
Nevertheless, medical experts in the field of psychology share an opinion on Kanye West’s behavior. They claim that there is no connection between Kanye West’s condition and his anti-Semitic claims. The ‘illness’ might be to blame for the rapper’s uncontrollable and unpredictable ranting. Also, it might be responsible for his inability to focus on one thought only. However, nobody can blame his illness for his personal beliefs and political views.
Watching some of Kanye West’s recent interviews might help clear this out.
The rapper made several appearances and gave several interviews in the past two months. Watching them, you can notice that his mental condition is not getting any better.
Finally, Kanye West shared a screenshot from Twitter’s notification, showing that his account will be unblocked in 24 hours. If this is true, tomorrow he would be able to tweet again. There is no comment on the matter from Elon Musk.
