A wrestlers final match is something truly special, when done right. When someone has a legendary career, it’s only fitting for them to go out with a bang – but this isn’t always the case. Sometimes, a final match isn’t intended to be that – with Triple H wrestling his final match at a WWE live event instead of a major PPV. However, even a major stage won’t make a last match feel special – which is why Kurt Angle might be looking to lace up his boots one more time.
Kurt Angle Names Three Names He’d Wrestle At WrestleMania If Given The Chance
On the latest episode of the Kurt Angle Show podcast, Angle would name three current WWE stars who he feels would be able to carry him through one final match at WrestleMania.
“Oh, man. Well, I’m not that stupid. So I’m going to make sure it’s a young guy because I’m a little bit older. I lost a little bit of a step. I would have to say someone like AJ Styles or Ricochet, I really liked that kid. I think I would have an incredible match with him. One of the bigger guys, Braun Strowman. I would love to wrestle Braun. He is so athletic for his size. He reminds me a lot of Brock Lesnar with his athleticism. He’s not as athletic as Brock, he’s pretty close. But those guys I think would carry me pretty well through that match.”
Angle Had An Unsatisfying End To His In-Ring Career Against Baron Corbin
Angle wrestled his final match at WrestleMania 35, losing to Baron Corbin. Many felt this was a horrible end to his professional wrestling career, and injuries prevented Angle from getting into the ring when offered a ten match deal by All Elite Wrestling. However, after a recent knee surgery – Angle has noted he’s been feeling good.
The recent return to the ring of the likes of Edge & Stone Cold Steve Austin has many retired names considering one final match, and it wouldn’t be shocking to see Angle lace up his boots for one final match.
