WWE Smackdown Results returns as Kurt Angle and Gable Steveson were welcomed backstage by the talent.
Intercontinental Championship Contract Signing
Imperium and Ricochet were in the ring to sign when New Day came out to watch Ricochet’s back.
GUNTHER ripped into them as being performers and not respecting the sport, and Kofi, Woods, and Ricochet turned it around as a joke that Imperium can’t perform.
A brawl broke loos and the New Day and Ricochet sent Imperium to the floor and they all flew to drop Imperium on the floor.
Imperium (GUNTHER, Ludwig Kaiser, Giovanni Vinci) vs. The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods) and Ricochet
Eventually, they took their respective sides in the ring so the match could start, and Kaiser and Ricochet started it off, and Ricochet dropped him with a dropkick.
Vinci came in and took Woods down with an arm drag and hammered away on him before sending him to the floor.
Kofi tagged in and took it to Vinci with a crossbody for a pin attempt, and then a Boom Drop. When they went to the floor, Imperium threw Kofi over the announce desk as we headed to commercial.

Ricochet and GUNTHER faced off, and after a few shots by Ricochet, GUNTHER dropped him with one chop.
Ricochet used his speed and athleticism to avoid some of GUNTHER’s heavier moves and even rolled GUNTHER up for a pin attempt.
Vinci sent Woods to the floor, and blocked an SOS attempt by Kofi when he tagged in.
Kofi hit a Trouble in Paradise on kaiser and tagged in Ricochet to hit a moonsault for the win.
Backstage, Karrion Kross and Scarlett paid Rey Mysterio a visit and Kross talked to him about his situation with Dominik and praised him for his restraint.
He shared a story about Scarlett growing up in Romania and about a horse that went from being a thoroughbred to a workhorse until it became useless.
He then told Rey it’s a sad thing when it gets tot eh point when an animal needs to be put out of its misery and he told Rey to look at the time. Tick tock.
Liv Morgan and Tegan Nox vs. Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler
Baszler and Nox started it off with Baszler working her submission magic and Nox working free.

Ronda tagged in and after tossing Nox around mocked Morgan, and then focused on Nox’s ankle, but Nox was able to kick free and tag out.
Raquel Rodriguez came to the ring and the crowd of officials distracted Ronda for Nox to hit a Shining Wizard for Morgan to steal the pin and win.
Kurt Angle’s Birthday Celebration
Angle came out to a loud pop and the fans chanting “You suck!” like he never left.
Once in the ring, he thanked his home town of Pittsburgh for the celebration, but was interrupted by Chad Gable and Otis as Gable was bent out of shape for not being invited to his party.
Gable even went so far to agree with the fans in saying Angle sucks and how he has no integrity and lost his intensity, then demanded he leave their ring so Otis can eat his birthday cake.

Angle left and while they ate his cake he paused at the ramp and told them if they’re going to eat all that cake they’ll need a lot of milk and a milk truck pulled in with Steveson and they parked by the ring.
They threw bottles of milk into the ring at the Alpha Academy and Angle brought out the firehose and sprayed them down with milk as they recreated 2001 in a fun celebration by Angle.
They climbed into the ring and the Alpha Academy rolled to the floor, and he and Steveson downed two bottles each before celebrating.
This was a pretty cool ending and throwback to the early days as Angle enjoyed his birthday celebration with the fans.
