‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here and we’re all set to close the week out in style with some fun spoilery goodies to share.
There’s going to be some fun interactions in this episode that will have some implications down the road, but there’s a chance more will be coming from them than we expect. Let’s get to some spoilers!
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Friday, January 20: Playing dirty
For the most part, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is clean cut and tries to avoid doing anything bad to anyone, but he has plenty of potential for mayhem.
It’s that potential that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will see and try to nurture as he’ll encourage Kyle to play dirty, meaning set Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) up to take the fall for something unforgivable.
Victor’s argument will be that neither one of them want Adam in Jabot, and Kyle will be helping both his families out by ousting Adam.
This is where we think things will get interesting as Kyle doesn’t have as much experience in being one of Victor’s pawns, but he’s smart enough to realize he’s being used.
Whether or not Kyle will care in this case is a whole other matter.
“The Young and the Restless” Spoilers: On the hot seat
While Kyle’s going to be urge to turn to the dark side, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will face some prodding of their own of a different sort.
CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers suspect Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) recognized Jack’s body type on the security footage from the burglary, and he fact he knew her security code is a dead giveaway.
So, she’ll inquire about whether or not this was their handiwork and things should get interesting.
On one hand, Nikki will be impressed Jack could do something she expected from Victor, but on the other she’s going to be upset she wasn’t included, and even more upset it was done to benefit Diane.
While she may understand their reasoning, helping Diane is something she won’t be interested in and they’ll know this.
It’ll be interesting to see if Jack will trust his faith that Nikki will do what’s right and keep their secret or will he lie to her in the event she’ll want to make Diane suffer.
In the end, it’s a no win situation for Jack, especially if Victor finds out at some point.
