‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here and we’re set to kickstart a new week with some fun spoilery goodies.
There are a couple of fun character building moments in this episode that have so much potential to blow up in the participants’ faces. We’re grabbing a large bowl or popcorn and settling in, so let’s dive in!
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Monday, January 30: The plot thickens
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will be thick as thieves as they continue conspiring on how to set Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) up to get booted from Jabot, and it could get interesting.
Victor tends not to make many mistakes aside from treating his children as pawns nearly every minute of their lives, but relying on Kyle may not work out like he hopes.
First off, maybe it’s just us, but Kyle seems to think he’s on Victor’s level or above him in the scheming department as he feels no blame will fall onto him after his plan kicks into motion.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Monday, January 30: Adam’s countermove
That’s mistake number one, and mistake number two is ignoring his wife when Summer Newman (Alison Lanier) has been insisting he not get mixed up in any of Victor’s plots.
While that has Kyle set up for a huge fall, ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers think what’ll trigger his epic plunge will come from Adam.
Adam’s used to how his father thinks and he’s battled with him as much as most people in Genoa City.
To that end, it won’t surprise us that he’ll have a failsafe in place that’ll redirect the blame for what’s going to happen to Kyle.
Or he could pull a manipulation tactic from Victor’s book and let Kyle do what he will, and then resign because he thought Jabot was different.
It’ll get Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) thinking, and with Kyle showing no remorse and acting like an arrogant victor Jack would know who’s responsible and Kyle could lose a lot in the aftermath.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Monday, January 30: Insecurities to the rescue
To be honest, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) skipping dates with Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) to work with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) makes Elena’s concerns valid, and she’ll keep an eye on him for that reason.
Another is she could be worried he’s becoming the man she walked away from before, and she’ll want to watch him in action to see for herself as he could be hiding his true intention from her.
This has so much potential to blow up in her face since Nate hasn’t been doing anything underhanded for her to rail against or leverage against him, so if Elena tries to force him to choose between his work and her she may not like his answer.
Is Kyle the weak link in Victor’s plan? Let us know in the comments below and check back with ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation.
