The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office recently checked up on former WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash at his home after he made comments that point to him having suicidal thoughts. During the January 16, 2023 episode of Kliq This with co-host Sean Oliver, Nash touched on his son Tristen’s death.
Deputies in Florida Check On WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash After Statements Made About Son’s Death Raises Concerns of Suicidal Thoughts
In the episode, the discussion came to how the former World Champion was holding up a few months after the death of his son. It was a topic that would’ve come up eventually and Nash answered with his usual sarcasm and matter-of-factness about things:
“Today is week 12 that I lost my boy. Time flies when you got a gun in your mouth—I mean, time flies when you’re having fun.”
Honestly, it’s a very Nash answer and you probably won’t find more of a Nash answer. However, suicide is an extremely sensitive topic and co-host Sean Oliver pointed that out as well as the fact that his friend owned guns.
Nash came back by saying he could do whatever he wants—as long as he leaves a note. The comments raised concern about Nash’s well-being and a welfare check was requested. The 63-year-old would explain to deputies that he had no plans to kill himself, something stated on the show.
Fans and those in the industry continue to show Kevin Nash support as he moves forward having lost his son and close friend within the same year.
