Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) and Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) are one of ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) Spoilers favorite couples, but it looks like things are over for the time being between them.
Sarah can’t bring herself to trust him after he lied to her and kidnapped Bonnie Lockhart (Judi Evans), and that’s totally understandable.
As much as Xander’s plight came about because he wanted to provide for Sarah, he can’t and shouldn’t expect to dodge the upcoming charges being leveled at him.
He did give it a good and legitimate shot with Sarah by not pressuring her to break her values by pointing out she can’t be compelled to testify against him.
Unfortunately for him, as soon as she entered their hotel room she realized she’s going to divorce him due to not being able to trust him.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Can they move past this?
Xander’s going to do everything he can to win Sarah back and prove himself to her, and while she still loves him and will want to forgive him, she won’t be able to bring herself to believe in him.
But there is a way.
With Sarah divorcing him, there’s literally nothing he can do to protect himself from going to prison is she tells the police what she heard and that’ll sink Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) as well.
In the end, it’ll come down to whether Gwen turns on him or Xander turns himself in, and we think it’ll be a little of both.
She’ll listen to Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) and go to the police, but Xander will either beat her there or arrive around the same time and confess everything.
He’ll take full responsibility and claim Gwen was only trying to save his ego like she said, and when Sarah heard him confess to her she was shocked and couldn’t believe it.
It’s a long shot, but Xander was willing to go to prison for Gwen before, and now he’ll realize the only way to prove himself worthy is to admit what he did and accept the punishment due.
It may even soften Bonnie and Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth)’s view on him and ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers think it’ll win him even more bonus points with Maggie Horton (Suzanne Rogers).
It’ll also show Sarah he’s willing to accept his punishment for what he did and may help her rebuild her trust in him to do the right thing.
And if not, he’ll at least prove he’s a better man than he used to be.
Will Xander confess everything, or will he try to find another way out of his situation? Let us know in the comments below and check back with Peacock “Days of Our Lives” Spoilers for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation.
