The “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star, Jen Shah, will be under supervised release for five years once she is released from her 6-and-a-half year prison sentence for fraud, during which she will participate in a mental health treatment program.
Real Housewives of Salt Lake City: Jen Shah’s Prison Sentence Will Include A Mental Health Treatment Program
According to TMZ, Jen has been ordered to take medication via a prescription when she is out of prison unless her physician dictates to the contrary. Shah will also be required to make payments in the form of restitution.
This will add up to 15 percent of her gross income, and she will undergo drug testing 15 days after her release. Additionally, her probation officer must approve of the mental health program she chooses.
Nevertheless, that does nothing to take away the fact that Jen’s reputation has been tarnished. In the initial response to the allegations, Jen continued to maintain that she was innocent.
However, she ended up backtracking on that as she pleaded guilty. This has undoubtedly damaged her chances of ever going back to the Housewives franchise since it is hard to see how her former cast-mates would be able to receive her.
And yet, that did not stop Jen from showing some remorse. Following the sentencing, she stated: “I am sorry. My actions have hurt innocent people.
“I want to apologise by saying. I am doing all I can to earn the funds to pay restitution.” The fans on social media had a lack of sympathy towards Jen. Large numbers of people were of the view that she had no one to blame but herself.
And in the process of doing so, the comments towards her were very harsh. One person wrote: “Scammer. Don’t buy anything she says,” while another person stated: “Oooh SHE GOT #LOCKED.”
It is fair to say that Jen is losing her supporters very quickly.
