WWE fans were recently shocked by the return of former WWE CEO Vince McMahon to the company. Following his 2022 retirement due to overwhelming pressuring following a series of scandals, McMahon stepped down from the company – leaving Nick Khan & Stephanie McMahon to share the CEO position, and Triple H to take over the task of running the creative direction of their programming. This led to Triple H bringing back a large amount of previously released talent and bringing some more NXT sensibilities to storytelling. Despite the return of Vince, his role in the company should remain intact.

Triple H Should Remain Head Of Creative, Barring Changes After A Major Sale

Multiple reports of Triple H remaining the head of creative in WWE have circulated since the moment Vince McMahon rejoined the Board of Directors in WWE. Triple H has been doing an overall fine job in the role, with ticket sales and ratings remaining steady, and PPV events getting fantastic reception from fans. There is currently no reason for Vince to step back into this role, but that has never stopped him before.

News of a potential sale of the company could also make vast changes to the company, which could include Triple H being replaced. This would ultimately depend on who ends up purchasing the company, if a sale actually goes through. A sale is more likely to change roles within the company than the return of Vince McMahon.

Statement About The Return Of Vince McMahon

A statement would be released by Triple H, Nick Khan & Stephanie McMahon about the return of Vince – stating the following.

“Today, we announce that the founder of WWE, Vince McMahon, will be returning to the Board. “We also welcome back Michelle Wilson and George Barrios to our Board of Directors. Together, we look forward to exploring all strategic alternatives to maximize shareholder value.”

So right now, Triple H is expected to remain in charge of the day to day choices for the televised WWE product. However, Vince McMahon was also expected to remain retired – meaning that things could at the whims of McMahon once again.. What do you expect to happen with this situation as 2023 unfolds?
