The WWE Performance Center has been one of the best training facilities in professional wrestling history, and has benefitted more than just WWE themselves. Given the turnover of talent from the company, it’s not rare to see WWE trained wrestlers pop up in other companies – and sometimes that is what it takes for them to finally show their true potential. This is the case with Major League Wrestling star EJ Nduka, who was formerly known as Ezra Judge in WWE before his 2020 release after just two untelevised matches.
EJ Nduka Has Become A Proper Star In Professional Wrestling Away From WWE
Having signed with MLW in 2021, Nduka has proven himself to be one of the top names in the company, having just ended a 315 day reign as MLW World Tag Team Champion alongside Calvin Tankman. With his contract with MLW likely finished it’s been reported that WWE is looking to get the 6’8” powerhouse back under contract. No extension was accepted by MLW & Nduka, making him one of the hottest free agents in professional wrestling right now.
There is also interest from All Elite Wrestling, and several companies in Japan – likely including New Japan Pro Wrestling. MLW will likely try to regain Nduka as they look to grow their business, but could find themselves as a low option in a potential bidding war. Nduka has expressed that he was grateful for MLW believing in him after his release from WWE, but that can only go so far in keeping him around.
Ever since his release from WWE, Nduka has been cited as one of the biggest missed chances by the company with developmental talent, due to his size and skill in the ring. That would make it all the better for him to return. It would be likely that at this point, he would still end up on the NXT brand when signed, with even international superstar Dragon Lee having a stint on the brand after being signed.
