Fans have heavily criticized Tania Maduro, the star of ‘90 Day Fiancé’, for celebrating Valentine’s Day given that she had some words to say about the day’s origins.

Tania, for her part, decided to share a post in which she talked about the pagan roots of the holiday. This focused on the fact that the day had been turned into Valentine’s Day from the pagan celebration of Lupercalia.
It is not exactly clear if Tania is a firm believer in religion, but one thing for sure is that she made her feelings heard. In her comments, she said: “Just another holiday that Christians changed.”
Despite this, Tania revealed that she had no intention of skipping out on celebrating Valentine’s Day and instead intended to send gifts and flowers to the person who had caught her eye.
Recently, Tania stirred up curiosity on Instagram by posting a video of herself having a Spanish lesson with an Argentinian woman. She hinted that the woman could have been her boo, implying that the two women were in a relationship.
Even though Tania hadn’t expressly stated that they were a couple, her post seemed to imply that the relationship was exclusive and serious. Her following comments confirmed as much: “Happy LOVE day.
“Honestly, I think Valentine’s Day is a very corporate, capitalist holiday whose origins are very different than what it means today… But, I like gifts and I like spending money, so I’m participating.”
It is not surprising, then, that the response on social media was brutal. This was on the basis that Tania was coming across as someone who was naive.
And in the process of doing so, the comments were very brutal indeed. One person wrote: “And you wonder why you are single? SMH.”
