‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here and we’re loving how it looks like Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is going to have his plan blow up in his face, though we’re sure he’ll say he planned it this way since the writers never let him be wrong.
Either way, it’ll provide us with some much needed drama and fun moments as his children will rebel against him once more, and that should leave him feeling good about himself. Let’s dig into some possibilities.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Not like he expected
Victor has made a name for himself as a greedy corporate raider that protects his own, and over the last few years he hasn’t been able to do no wrong.
That could be because no one’s really challenged him, instead choosing the path of least resistance, or the fact no one really cared.
It’s been too long since he faced stiff competition from the Abbotts, particularly Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), but it looks like things could be swinging against him finally.
He’s taken steps to ensure he’s going to look like a savior for Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) when he’s ousted from Jabot, but now he’s going to have some egg on his face.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers think Adam’s going to confront Victor about his plan with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) to sabotage him and have him fired from Jabot.
It’ll be Adam’s moment to shine as he’ll be one step ahead of Victor, and he owes it to Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).
This is a great opportunity for Victor to learn not to push his children and try to manipulate them, but we doubt he’ll get the memo.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Nick makes him proud
Like we mentioned, we have no doubt Victor won’t learn from this, but worse yet, he’ll be proud of Nick, assuming he figures out he’s the one that ratted his plan out to Adam, and Adam for working it out.
He’ll quickly switch gears into proud papa mode and he’ll congratulate Adam for thinking ahead and turning a disadvantage into an advantage and all of that.
We doubt Adam will buy into the snow job, but there’s a chance he will to a degree since he’s becoming more complacent at Jabot.
Working in a company where the owner’s not moving him around like a pawn regularly can get pretty boring, especially when the owner is fair and open minded.
Though Kyle gunning for him could make it feel more like home for Adam and he could tell Victor to pound sand.
